I think what Cardinal is getting at is that people with loosely curled hair have bigger waves. True. Your hair history also is a factor in wave size. For instance my cousin was never allowed to grow his out past a level 2 cut, but I've had 6 inch dreads. This said, my waves started out smaller than his, but since my hair is naturally looser curled than his they are deeper.
I don't think it's a prediction so much as common knowledge. Tight curls = small waves Looser curls = big waves
I also think this can be changed by letting your hair grow out longer between cuts.

YOUR AVERAGE BLACK DUDE WIT WAVES...BRUSHES DOWN OK?....THEN if your have waves that are real spaced apart then you don't have as many hair pockets as most people.....for an example...not to be callin out naes but dmass...look at his waves and tell me whether or not he has MORE waves then me... --just an example) in my opinion i think brushing has noting to do with how your waves are spaced out, but in fact I do delieve that depending on the way you brush your hair...you'r heir will get used to it....it really starts when ur a child...cuz ur hair is loose, and free.
We've had this convo b4, I mean w/all due respect to chessbum,rule,and dmass...mixed dudes have really good hair....and i won't knock ya'll for that,but at the same time...you can look at certain people and tell how thier waves will be but when it comes to bruhing you can't tell

maybe it is but i just think cause my friend is like nigerian kinda an his waves were kinda small waves, but my other friend his rnt really spinnin yet but his waves r kinda coming out abit thicker as i thought they would
i was wndering can you predict what a niggaz waves r going to turn out like before you look at them? because i told my friends what there waves would most probly turn out like and they kinda did
