I can say that you`re about right on the growth expectations - mine was about 3 inches long three years ago before I decide to let it grow. It`s currently about 10 inches in length. I`ve had a few trims, but never too much off at any time. It`s better to have it good quality rather thatn just the length. The worst part about it is trying to get it all one length - for me anyway. Women don`t know how easy it is for them.
Hiya everyone, I`ve just been reading the Long hair on guys post below (the 4 page one). I would just like to say that I would have loved it if my mum had encouraged me to grow my hair long as a little kid. At present I am 18 and my hair has never been longer than about 3-4 inches, it`s currently about 2 on the top, with short sides and back. I am considering growing it long now, so that I can "know what it`s like". Does anyone have any comments or advice? Also, any advice on how I can keep it from going `wild` at that 3-4 inch stage? Also, from what I`ve read I assume this will take about 2 years to get to my shoulders, is this about right?
