That's fine, chances are that the formula was similar to nail polish, minus the pigmentation.

I dont like adding colored nail polish to my nails, I just like using nail polish that is clear so my nails are just shiny. One time I accidentally used something for nail polish but it was only supposed to be a base coat/top coat. Is that ok?
