I have bought wefts from sara/PH
the hair is folded in half and wefted so its like 24"
but thats when it is made properly in Korea no special requests.
Korea screwed up one of my wefts and so sara made one in switzerland ( i don't know how) and that hair was foled over so that it was maybe 8 or 10" and 40 or 42".  I dont' know if she can/will do this on purpose from Korea but...

Okay duh.
Today's currency rate is 1 US dollar = .863737 Swiss francs. That would mean that 5 meters of weft at 18 CHF/weft = 90 CHF which today would be $77.74 for a 5 meter weft.
So yes. Sara's price of $72 is for the full 5 meter weft. Glad I could answer my own question.

So what I'm thinking, Squeeze, for those of us who are blendingly challenged, that to get 16 feet of custom blended weft for $72 plus shipping would be a GREAT deal! Think of what that much HH would cost! So now the challenge is to study the color ring and really get a good blend going, or to have Sara make part of it blended and a section of it highlighted - you can do that, too - and that way you'd have plenty of all the kind of hair you want. Brill!

Oh yeah. And I wonder if the hair is the same length on the weft as it is in bulk - something like 40 inches or 120 cm, something like that. Better email Sara and ask unless someone else knows.

Confusion.
Here is the weft page from PH:

Quote Weft $72.00
wefts
at order all kinds of wefts are avaible!
1 x wefts = 5meter wefts, 1m weft price: 18 CHF
any length, any style and single or multicoloured!
please not that i dont have wefts in stock.
therefore theres a min. order quantity of 5m each colour and style ( 1m = 39 inches )
you can let me know how you want the wefts to be:
straight, wave any curls and any colour mixed.
blended or striped...

Now. Does this mean it's 18 CHF/$72 PER METER? Or per 5 meter weft (which is 16 feet, btw!)?
Has anyone ordered a weft from PH before?

Yeah Sherrie, I could like to get a rough idea on the weights
too. If you e-mail Sara, would you let me know what she says?

Thanks

Does anyone know what the weight of PH wefts are? Buying 5 meters doesnt tell me much. I want to know how many ounces or grams I'm buying. I may email Sara to ask her.

Oh, has anyone seen the new Veilchen hairpiece? It looks like a clip-in weft. Cool. :)

Sounds like a plan. I think the minimum order is 5 meters' worth, which is $77.84 (U.S.), plus postage. She says on the site that you can order any color combos, lengths, textures, streaks, etc., you want. Here's the link:

Girls, I am thinking I will buy the PH on the wefts (so kewl) and
then put them into my blending board on top of each other,
braid the hair and add the elastic band and blend like I do with
the human hair. I don't think I could blend the synth hair loose
as well as I could on the wefts with the blending board.

Will it cost alot more for the hair on wefts and does in only come
in a certain length on the weft?

Thanks

Yeah, someone should confirm this blending-machine thing. Ah, the possibilities....

Shaman: It's really difficult to blend the colors yourself (especially with the wavy hair). My stylist did it for me, but I think if I attempted it, I'd wind up with a big mess on my hands, too. You can put two colors in one tip, no problem, but it's hard to blend them down to the point where they don't look like two colors....

Yeah, as far as I can tell, the Dome and PH are really damn close. If one is better than the other, then it ain't by much. After my current extensions grow out, I'm gonna do an all-Dome-and-Prostyles test head on myself to see how those two wear. And yeah, the wave fell out of my Dome Classic pretty quick too.

I dunno about the blending machine, sorry- never asked her about it.

I've tried that, StS, with the Trimco I have and dealing with the bulk and the length, I ended up making more of a mess than it was worth and the hair didn't really get 'blended' as much as I would have liked, know what I mean? I need a professional blending machine, no way around it.

I think she must have a blending machine but like you I'm not absolutely positive.  But the people in Korea screwed up on a weft that I had ordered from her and she had someone in her shop hand make it for me.  anyhow the colors were blended just the way I had requested in the original order so...

Well, I think so. Don't quote me on it, though. Let's say I'm 75 percent sure. I imagine there's extra cost involved, but for me at least, it'd be worth it.

Where's Rae? I think she'd be able to verify this or not.

:)

OMG you're joking!! She DOES?! She WILL?! That opens up a whole new world here! Blending has been my personal bete noir, so I just end up alternating strands and that doesn't look quite how I want. Blending colors would soooo work for me!
(opens color ring...)

So since I am not experienced with color, and stuck with only two for my initial purchase....should I just blend each and every tip? They look so good together, but wasn't sure if I should put them in together or as a main color and hilite.  ??!! Jen, you mentioned her blending them, but can I come close to that product if I carefully blend? It is such a pretty color together.

LOL, with that hair, I'll lick Sara's boots, too!

I totally agree about the long-term wear thing, too. Mine's still going strong after 5 weeks, and I've done everything imaginable to it; I'm sure it could last well for another month or so. If it turns after that, so be it--I'm still saving a ton of money over human (which I never used for more than three months, and usually closer to two, anyway)

:)
