So sorry to hear about your bad perm. Unfortunately I get an average of 2 AskKaren emails a day...yes a day...from people that have had horrible perms.
So with that said...a few questions that will help....
How short is your hair (chin length, ear length)? Is it layered? Did you normally use a deep conditioner or any conditioning products before you had the perm? You mentioned your hair was fine so that is why I ask.

I have short, thin, fine hair and was advised by my stylist to get a perm to make it look fuller. I explained I didn't want the "poodle look" that I do have some natural curl and my hair takes curl really fast. To my disappointment, (and horror) I now have fried poodle on my head! That was two weeks ago and I'm still sporting the poodle. I've tried everything to help my hair, even going so far as to using straight conditioner and not rinsing it out. My stylist didn't even trim my hair after the perm to cut off the burnt ends. I had to pay another stylist to do that! Does ANYONE have any home remedies I can make and use on my hair to help relax or just soften this fried poodle I'm wearing around? PS: The fried poodle is a joke to keep from crying, my hair isn't one!
