Did anyone happen to save the jpg's that were featured in this post? They're gone now and I need to look at the colors again. TIA

This is a little O/T, but did anyone see this on the AD website? (I assume it applies to their human hair, but it's not totally clear:

Permanent Curl
Almost all brands of hair extensions do not guarantee a permanent curl - usually the curl will drop out over time due to washing and wearing. Through thorough research at the American Dream Laboratory based in London, we bring to the market a permanent curl - you can wash it over and over and still the curl formations remain as they first appeared in the packet and that is one of the reasons why AD is known as a superior brand to all its competitors!

I wonder if this really lives up to the claim. Has anyone used it?

:)

Mocha, I'm just getting one weft of 18" straight in those two colors. If the 340 turns out to be unworkably light, I have a bottle of dark brown Rit sitting right here, plus some other hair color to take it down a couple of notches. It's dyeable, remember?! Well, we'll just see about that, won't we.

Ops!

Fina you are right, when you look at the screen, the numbers correspond from Left to Right!

Sorry!

Yeah that's why I'm looking at the 32 and 33.  I was thinking the 33 would make a good  'glint'.  Though I'm also wondering about the 340.  It looks quite a bit lighter though...

Decisions decisions

what lengths are you getting?

No, I don't think 33 looks too light. Looks just right. I'm getting the 32 chocolate brown, I think, and maybe the 340 cupric brown (as a possible 'glint' color), plus the color ring. I'm keeping my order small cuz it's mainly for comparison. If this hair turns out to be really great, then I'll order more colors. But for now, I'm getting silky straight in a color not available in WaWa that I may actually use.

Syren, I know you have hair similar in color to mine.  Do you think the 33 looks to light to go with #4 or #3?

I bet the wefts are all 60" wide because the weights they give for each of the lengths of hair increase - like 18" is 100g, 36" is 200g. 60" is 400g. And the prices increase geometrically. I'm taking this as an indication of all lengths having 60" wefts.

SAS! Thanks a million for the clarifying phone call.

Metal: THANK  you for posting the color pics!!  However - a question - are you sure the colors are "right to left"? Did you mean left to right (looking at the screen)?

Thanks again - Fina

SAS- You are just the endless river of knowledge, aren't you?

Keep in mind that the 18" thermo weft was 60" wide, and the other longer length wefts may or may not be that wide.  Just like with human, you know a 14" weft will be much longer than a 22" weft because the weft of the longer hair is in the length and not the amount of it.

I am going to order some AD hair for myself soon.  The color I did order is blond, and I got that with my friend- client-guinea pig in mind.

I did receive my WA WA soft body wavy weft from Vixen, and it looks good.  I do think that so far the AD feels just a little bit softer than the WA WA, but the real test would come after a few washings.

Huh? That's not what their catalog says. Of course, Metalgirl got an 18-inch weft, but the catalog actually says there are wefts up to 60 inches long available. Perhaps their catalog is outdated, though.

I have to say, this "no Internet site, no online catalog"-thing is a real hassle. I also don't understand why Metalgirl's ring doesn't include all the colors the catalog says are availalable in therm.

I'm all for trying this hair out, but it's going to have to be something really special for me to continue to order from AD. The cost, including shipping, isn't cheap either.

:)
