Hi, Mrs. Robertson and Niki. Welcome!! I've been here since December. I was here once before a few years ago but left and came back to stay. I am not a natural  although I do hope to be and I know it's better for my hair. I am 4a relaxed and my hair is about an inch past my shoulders. I hope you like it here. Everyone IS very supportive and sooo nice. Ask any questions you want. Someone here will be able to answer for you.

Congrats on the baby!!! I hope he/she is very healthy!!!!

Thank you guys for having me.

Niki as for the diet tip, all i can say is keeping a journal helps because it lets you see what you eat and helps you to watch what you eat as well. Also Ive tried every diet in the world even  starving my self but it never really worked. IT worked for awhile but then Iwould end up gaining more weight than i was before i started. All i can say is eat smaller amounts, add more veggies, fruits to your diet. Cut out the soda and sweets. IF you want like a sweet eat a bran muffin or something like that. Also drink lots and lots of water.Juice is god too . Exercise is the key as well try and find a good exercise routine and stick with it. All and all soon the weight will come off you in no time, and if you slip up dont beat your self up. Everyone has a slip up once just get back on  the band wagon and keep going, Im about to have my baby next week. So im trying to prep my self and get the show on the road. Good luck to you with your weight loss and hair goal. Also if you ever want a  buddy just let me know.

Hope this helps

Welcome, to the BOTH of you. I am also natural, I have been natural since May 9, 2004 (Mother's Day). We are doing a hair grow out challenge so you guys can both join. Everyone on  here are very encouraging, and we welcome you. Don't feel too embarrased to ask anything... we are all willing to help.

Also, I want to grow my hair long/ big and then rechop. I love every step to growing my natural hair.

Welcome aboard, MRS. robertson and Niki.  I have been here for a while and i have enjoyed my stay. I have been natural sine June 6, 2003. My hair is currently approaching shoulder length and i actually got it pressed last weekend- had to attend a wedding and my folks really pushed me to get that press n curl. I use shea butter, liv, shealoe butter, organic hair butter. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, we are all here to learn from each other.

Hello Mrs. Robertson, im pretty new too I just wanted to say WELCOME.  Im type 4a/b relaxed shoulder length.  Im trying to take better care of my hair now that im on the forum.  I never really use to pay much attention to my hair, I use to just perm wash curl and go. Now im more aware of all the damage that all the heat does. Im trying to take better care of it now.   Im trying to achieve brastrap right now.  Ive been there before but I cut it cause i got bored with it, anyway good luck to you. Im also tryin to lose about twenty pounds,  so if you have any diet tips feel free to share.

I just wanted to say hello  to the room and that Im new,I've been natural for about 7years now and I love it. I dont use chemical or heat what so ever. Last year I cut my hair  shoulder  length hair into a twa I guess it was just for a change. I loved the style. But now I plan on growing my hair back out and leaving it.  My first goal will be waist length and then beyond. I have started a healthy eating and hair growth challenge for 1year I will do this and keep doing it from now on. I hope to have lots of growth by this time next year. Im also using Robin Woods Crown and Glory Method, to achieve  my growth as well, Right now Im wearing my hair in 2strand twists. I dont believe in taking vitiams that will make your hair grow, I believe in a little TLC,being gentle with your hair and eating healthy, I think thats the trick at least thats my opinion. Also I use only natural hair products no grease or anything like that. I use shea butter and olive oil,

Well I gues thats all.

Hope to meet everyone and learn some new tips

Mrs.Robertson
