LOL! Muskrat! It's muskat...but I like the thought of being the color of a muscrat! Kinda like "mousey brown"! Muskat is a beautiful color, btw, not at all mousey - I put it in with my PH install as a 3rd color.
I really like these German names - they crack me up! And those are great pictures, Jenny. May be the best ones yet posted of PH colors.
You wrote: I've been looking on that web site you
mentioned in your posting, and I seem to be having a problem in finding
what I'm looking for. Any chance you could provide a more direct link
to the page I require.
To recap, I'm after synthetic hair on a weft, longer than 36" long,
but a track of at least 1 metre (39") wide. I should be able to select
the exact colour once I've found the right product, but as a guide, my
natural hair colour is a mid/dark brown mix of shades.
Whew. OK, so from there, you've got several textures to choose from.
The most common are straight, 50mm (a loose wave, a lot like the Dome
Classic), and 28mm (a tighter wave, more like the Dome Wavy).
Now, as you'll see in the description, you can get as many colors as
you want within those wefts (either machine blended, or in streaks), as
well as any texture. When you do your checkout, you'll want to specify
all of thise. PH generally comes in 48 inch lengths, but you'll want to
reiterate that you want the long length, just in case (so it's not
doubled over at 24" or anything).
Now, for the colors (and this is the hard part). From the sounds of it,
you'd need a blend of a few colors. PlastikHaar has an amazing color
selection, but it's difficult to figure out what's what without a color
ring. The photos on the site aren't very accurate when it comes to
color. So....here's the brown range (keeping in mind that the flash is
being used here and that each monitor will display these a bit
differently). These photos did not come out as well as I would've liked.
Oh, and one final thought: Don't hesitate to email Sara for help if you
need it. Especially with a special order like this and a first-time
buy, you'll want to make sure all the details are established up front.
(If you know which Dome colors you usually use, she might be able to
steer you toward the PH equivalents, too.) And keep in mind that it'll
take a little while to fill this order, although shipping to you in
England from Switzerland should be quite a bit quicker than it is to
the U.S. Good luck!
