Hye everyone. Thanks for the support, but I can stick up for myself. lol
I wasnt really offended or insulted by what Gord said in the beginning after I told I got my haircut. However, I do think he was wrong in thinking that because my hair is three inch`s above my waist, its considered not long. But hey, everyones entitled to their own opinions, it just depends on how one phrases it.
I have noticed that Gord is a little forceful in his opinions, but I guess he just believes in it strongly.
And if anyone wants to say anything Gord, just simply tell them that its your opinion and thats it. I mean whats the point in explaning yourself when its not going to get ppl to change their perception of you or understand where your coming from.
By the way, I love my hair, and thanks for eveyrones support once again! You rock!....except for Gord, lol, just kidding...

Gord why don't you stop being such an ass and show some support for this girl. She is happy with her hair....so be happy for her. And personally I think if you have hair below your shoulders is long hair. So HER HAIR IS LONG... stop being so rude. I've seen many unpleasant comments and posts from you within very few posts that I have read this morning. Your negative responces aren't needed or wanted.
1. She asked my opinion. I gave it to her: Don't cut your hair. 2. She got it cut and may be happy, but I'm not and I let her know that. Since she asked for my opinion once, I'm entitled to give it when it's not sought. 3. YOU don't want my responses. Don't speak for the group or the moderator. 4. When I respond to this group, it's because of my passion for long hair and I believe it's OK to be that way. I support long hair. Guess what? That's the title of the group! 5.You thin that hair below the shoulders is long hair. I don't. But you don't see me arguing with you. We agree to disagree. 6. Name calling is very unnecessary. After reading your comments, alll I can say is that I'm apalled. You totally miss the point of this message board.
The purpose of this board is to provide loving support to those wanting to grow long hair or those with long hair that need encouragement to maintain their long hair.
It is not about brow beating people into keeping their long hair to make you (Gord) happy.
Your original message was within the bounds of this mission. Your second message was not.
Your correct response should have been...
along the lines of...
"While I'm sorry that you decided to cut your hair, I'm sure that you made the decision that is best for you and I wish you good luck in your future long hair endeavours. -- Gord"
Instead you looked at her decision as how it affected you and your world.
While I appreciate your love of long hair and I love long hair as much as you do. You don't create long hair beauties by brow beating them into your point of view.
You create long hair beauties by loving them as they are and then making them aware of you love for long hair and gently encouraging them to grow their hair longer.
Jeffrey, thanks for setting the ground rules and, since this is your site, I will abide by them. I guess agree mostly with your point about how long hair affects me and my world. That`s true.
Is it possible for me to get my own section on here called something like Long Hair Support For Women Who Really Want Long Hair?
You basicallywant me to show support for women who have cut their long hair, which is being talked about more and more on this site. To me, that goes against the title "Long Hair Support." I don`t think I was "brow beating" anyone into doing anything, but that is a matter of opinion. I state my opinion (very pro long hair all the time) and let the chips fall where they may. In this case, this person cut her hair. I didn`t support her cutting and stated so. I supported her long hair.
Thank you again for the guidelines, though. You`re one lucky guy to work with someone as gorgeous as Karen. Although she knows it, tell her I support her long hair and her decision to keep it that way.

I guess this will be the last we`ll see of you on the Long Hair Support section, since your hair is no longer long. What a blow to us real long hair lovers. So much for my advice. As long as you love it, though, eh...
I got my waist length hair cut just below by bra strap and layered. The layers are starting just below my shoulders and i have about 2 layers done.
When i came home, i relaised the lady cut it slanted! Horrified, i went back and she did it right and evened it. I love it!
Thanks for all the help, also im surprised that it doesnt appear finer, just as thick as before. It is not at all fine from the ends even.
I suggest if u want to keep length but want a different style when leaving hair out without doing anythjing to it, get it layered BUT BUT BUT make sure u know how much is being cut off. Mine was cut more than i asked, but i still love it, but BE CAREFUL bring a picture.
