Well, at the end of this week I am probably going to relax my hair and I will use it afterwards. I was trying to wait for 12 weeks (I'm 9 weeks post) but I had to speed it up. I will definitely let you know. This might be a keeper.

I think it would be better to use after relaxing instead of before, b/c I am prettty sure that getting your hair wet before relaxing opens the pores in your scalp. That can lead to burning verry quickly. Other then that I have been seeing alot of post talking about it. I am wanting to try it also so next time you wash if you use it after conditioning please let us know how it works out for you!

Okay, I've been researching Porosity Control and I've read that it is crucial for hair because it closes down the cuticle so our hair can hold in moisture better and return our hair to it's normal pH level. (If you go to LHCF and do a search for Porosity COntrol, a bunch of informative threads will pop up for anyone else who is interested.) Many girls on the site had a problem with dry hair, snapping ends, and not holding moisture. This product is suppose to held tremendously will all three. I went to Sally's and bought a trial size bottle ( 1.6 oz. for 1.89). Here is what it says:

Porosity Control Corrector & Conditioner: (pH 4.5)

Use before a chemical service to prevent chemical shock, to equalize hair porosity.

Directions: Apply to damp hair before a chemical service. Leave in hair for 30 seconds then rinse. Perform the chemical service (color, perm, relax, bleach). Can be used after a chemical service when additional conditioning is required.

Ingredients: water, propylene glycol, dicetyldimonium chloride, oleyl betaine, lecithin, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, DMDM hydantoin, fragrance, lactic acid, titanium doixide, mica, methylparaben,propylparaben, violet 2, green 5

My question is with the directions. I don't see how you can apply this to damp hair  and right after relax it. Has anyone used this after a relaxer or other chemical service. Everyone on the LHCF seemed to rave about it.
