Shrinkies are adhesive-, or glue-lined, so they definitely leave some
residue behind. It's not nearly as much glue as fusion, but there is a
glue element to it, so you should know that upfront. Extentubes are
clamped metal, and no--there's no glue involved, except for the glue
used to pretip the hair, which shouldn't adhere to your own, real hair.

I thought that they didn't leave anything behind....hmmm... So I am guessing that only the micro links are the only ones that don't. Whit the shrinkies it is nothing like glue right?
I have only used the MB shrink links, and they do leave a residue behind in the hair. The residue is from the adhesive that is released when the tube is melted.
MB has a citrus solvent that works like a charm to get the residue out without damage to the hair.
i didn't have too much....what i noticed was like a white flakiness
after i was all uninstalled....and it peeled out really easily when i
ran my fingernails over it.
i went to the haircutters later that day and told her i had just done a
takedown on my extensions..that there might be some glue...and she said
she didn't see hardly any...and she didn't wash my hair...only dampen
it.
i used massage oil....with my fingertips to get right up into the
shrinkie. then i let that sit a little bit and began to uninstall
from the top w/ the heat wand.
has someone been swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool again?
