I`d like to welcome zasani and STARLIGHT LOVER and thank them for having the courage to post. Its not an easy thing to admit mistakes. But in this case I don`t feel that they made mistakes. As someone else said "Let the first one who never made a hair mistake throw the first rock." We all made mistakes. Its all part of learning. Had you not cut your hair back then you probably would have cut it sooner or later. Why? Because human beings are curious. Hair care is an experiment. Everything you do to it is something new to try. I don`t think you should feel bad at all for trying new styles.

It doesn`t matter what you do to your hair as long as you do so by your own choice. As I like to say, "Long hair is however long YOU want it."

Gord,

Jeffrey makes a good point. The operative word is SUPPORT. It seems to me that if what you like is the look of long hair - and don`t really care about the the person behind it, then you should just go to the long hair websites that have lots of pictures to admire. A support board is just that - a place where you come to get support. We can`t see each other here, so all we have to go on is our personalities...It seems there are a lot of beautiful women on this board with long hair - they just don`t ohysically have it yet....but they have the state of mind. That is what really matters. You have the choice of supporting them - or not.

As far as Zasani - the great thing about these boards is that we can't see each other....so we can get to like or dislike each other based solely on what we write. You seem to have the soul of a long hair person. That's what counts here. Good luck on the growing - I am growing chin length hair too. It usually takes me about 1 year to get it to my bra strap.

Everybody loves something, right? I adore long hair.

This is the perfect forum for me: Long Hair Support. Long hair is beautiful and sexy. Most women I have talked to about long hair agree that most men feel like I do.

If I was a woman, I'd have long hair. I support others that have it. I encourage others to let it grow.

What is wrong with that?

Gord,

The problem is that you don`t come across as supportive of the women who post here. Your obsession with long hair just makes them feel objectified. You don`t appear to care about them as women... only about them as long haired women.

All of your posts reflect how their situations affects you and your obsession with long hair. Support is not about your needs and wants. Support is not about how it affects you and your world.

Support is about helping someone selflessly without reguard to your needs, wants, expectations and feelings.

While I love long hair as much as you do. The last thing I would do is make a woman feel bad because she doesn`t meet my expectations of the ideal woman.

I think until you can be less judgemental and more supportive you should not post any more of your kind of "support" on this board.

I WILL SOON! THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT! your posts are very inspiring and motivational.

I saw your message, and I cut my hair that was at my waist and it turned out to be at my chin. I was so mad that I wanted it back right away. I called for every hair product in the world to make it longer but nothing seemed to work. I needed my hair to be at least at my shoulders in two weeks, because it was picture day and that is the cool style at my school. So the only thing I could come up with was using eggs. In no time at all I had the hair that I wanted and it was shiny as ever. If when Christmas comes and it is not at the length you wanted you will need to get some hair extentions. If you need anymore help post it and I write back.

BUMP!!!

I`ve been gone for a while, and reading old posts, but I wanted to reply to this one and say:

you have my support in growing your hair

Whether we are growing our hair because we want to, or because we got a bad haircut, or whatever - we need to support each other and stick together!

Ah for goodness sakes this board is exactly for people who want the support of growing their long hair.
Let the first one who never made a hair mistake throw the first rock. Well I bet noone can throw that rock ! So lighten up.
The thing we have to practice in life is this"future ever, past never.
Okay Zasani you thought at the time that it was a good idea to cut your hair but learned that it was a mistake for you so the only thing is to do is to look forward, take care of yourself, forgive yourself and really look forward in life. It isn`t worth looking back at our mistakes in life. Everyone made mistakes about their hair. It`s okay. Not serious. Just relax and appreciate the time it takes to grow it back. Pamper yourself during this time and live the life.

I agree totally... my hair is only 18.5 inches long... just a tiny bit below shoulders. And none of you are going to push me away from this board. It`s called Long Hair Support. Not Long hair ONLY. Lighten up people.. stop being so vain, shallow, uhhh *****y? (<-sorry) We are all supposed to help each other whether we have one inch of hair or 33 or more.

I totally agree Noreen. I`m glad you said that. They were very mean spirited and simply rude. She was simply asking for support while she grew her hair out again.
Come on guys isn`t that what the board is called "Long Hair Support".

I`m sorry, but I think the idea behind this board is to offer support to those that *have* long hair AND to those that *want to have* long hair. So don`t leave. All the long hair beauties that hang out here had short hair at one time. And if they were told that they had no value or worth until they grew thair hair out, chances are they would not be hanging out here now. At least the ones I know that hang out here. They have way too much self esteem to hang out with people that judge their worth by how long their hair is. Instead, they found encouragement to grow out their hair whether here or somewhere else.

Please everyone...it`s OK to think that long hair is the best, but don`t push a long hair wannabe away just because they haven`t reached their hair goal yet.

Back to my cave...
