hi everyone, ive been an extensions technician for about 5 years and until now i always used the prostyles method using monofibre hair, i did my first client using human hair and shrinkies yesterday and they looked fab! i got my shrinkies from a supplier on ebay and they were rubbish! luckily amanda8beechwood kindly gave me a tub of Amms shrinkies to try so i used them on my client and they were FANTASTIC!! A HUGE big thank you to Amanda for being so kind and to Amm for her great shrinkies!! xxx

LOL! I'm doing the same thing!

Yes, you of all people deserve to sit in the chair and have your hair put in.

I'm starting a blog to document my transformation back to my old self before the blob ate my brain. I figure if I make it public, it will be easier to stay motivated. The first things to go up will be hair before and afters, but I'm going to post them here on the board first thing Saturday morning. In fact, after work today I'm going to go buy a new digital camera - mine is just not enough megapixels. I'll have Serina take pix of all steps of the install, and I'll take some of her as well.

We'll see how it goes with Serina. I already know my expectations are waaay high, so I'm afraid of being overly critical. Then there's the dual sided issue of being out of practice with long hair since March, and wearing a full head of PH which I've never done before. So there are some challenges.

Don't care about the challenges, tho. It's full speed ahead to pinchbraids. 23 more hours to go.

Congratulations! What a great way to celebrate your road to health!

I want to see all the before & afters. I want to see the braids themselves. This is so cool. I have drooled over Isaac's skill and Jenny's brilliant install - makes me want to try it. I'd like to try the heatsealed, too. It'd just be nice to sit in a chair for a change and have someone do it. I'd like the break!

Coming down there would be a great excuse to go to EP again. Woo!

Girl, my hair is absolutely baby fine. If it can work on mine, it can work on yours.

I'm going to Serina at deadlyhair in Huntington Beach at 1:00 PM TOMORROW WOOHOOOOOOOOO!   Yes, I'm using the PH we ordered: 50mm mostly mahaghoni cuz it's an exact match, with kaffee underlayers and muskat near the top. I guess she'll blend it...she's a hairpolice affiliate so I'm just gonna let her do her hairpolice thang.

She charges $375 for 3/4 head with me supplying the hair.

You can be sure that a zillion pictures will be taken and I don't even care that I look like a beach ball. As of today, radiation is officially OVER, I'm off all drugs and 'roids, and the rebuilding process can now begin. I'm starting with HAAAAAAAAAR!!!!

Syren, that's right on! I love it, too. I have an entirely new outlook on shrinkies now with these new ones and now the remover. I'm just so glad it's working so consistently for everyone.

Hey, I did my first take out and that remover is the bom!  It works perfectly.  couldn't believe how easy it was to get the residue out, there was no rubbing for ever like with the veggy oil! xx

Not only do they slide right out, they slide out without taking any of your own hair with them!

I just took mine out to color my hair in preparation for my PINCHBRAIDS ON FRIDAAAAAAAAAY! I heated them up with the wand til they completely shrunk to a tiny ball and the hair strand pulled right out, then sliiiiiid the shrinkie off my hair - voila! NONE OF MY HAIR CAME WITH IT! That, ladies, is a FIRST. The shrinkies I'd used before ALWAYS pulled my hair out no matter how carefully I tried to remove them.

This is the shrinkie we've been waiting for.

got mine too, very nice, and the remover smells wonderful.  Also got a nifty little soap sample, my boyfriend went "oooOOO" and snatched it out of my hand to use in the shower

You're right - they're totally awesome! I have about 6 in trying them out (and different synths) - even with washing every day, conditioner getting on them, and me futzing with them every waking moment, they're still in rock hard. If they're put in correctly and with enough hair on the strand to hold them well, these guys will stay in indefinitely!

Ok I just got my shrinkies(black) from amm. They Got here in three days.I live all the way in indiana. So thats really fast.I waited like two weeks for my doctored locks shrinkies. The soap sample I got smells awsome.I cant use any kind of regular soap from normal stores. But I'm looking forward to trying out this soap since its so natural. The shrinkies are exactly like they are supposed to be.The doctored locks shrinks were good. But they dont compare to these.I just thought I'd put that out there.I'm very pleased with what I got.

P.s. Thank you amm!
