I use the cheap things, I have ALOT of hair and I have to use alot of conditioner, cause a dime size amount ain't gonna do it. I think if the cheap works for you, or if you have to add some oil in it to make it even better than go for it.

For me it seems that the less expensive one's work wll then the cheaper ones.  However, then again I also like to mix the two to see what I get.

there is a rave on different boards about herbal essences replenishing conditioner and it is compared to kenra. i got this and yes, it gives as much slip as kenra MC. it does have silicones and kenra doesnt. and im scared of silicones. you might want to try this

Ditto! I have samples of Kenra I use and it works great but I can't seem to scrape up the money to purchase it. Majority of my hair stuff can be found at Walgreens or Walmart.

I don't think more expensive products are better at all!  I have never used or bought a high priced "salon" product for my hair.   My hair has thrived so well on the sensibly priced, over the counter hair products that I just can't do it.  And I don't need to!  The way I go through shampoos and conditioners I would be dead broke paying 15 and 20 bucks a bottle for stuff.  Especially the way I slather on Conditioners

I don't think its so much the products and price as it is the techniques and methods you use to care for your hair.  I've seen people who use high priced products, nothing but the "best" of what the hair care world has to offer right now, and you wouldn't know it b/c their hair isn't growing any longer or healthier.  And really at the end of the day, who can really tell who has washed with Suave or CON and who has spent alot more washing with Nexxus or Nioxin?

Any opinions on the Mizani line? I would like to try the H2O intensive night time treatment.

expensive is usually, but not always better. i work at a day spa where we carry the most exclusive and expensive products.. and the reason theyre so costly is because theyre more concentrated and powerful than the cheaper items.. that way you use less and it lasts you longer...which i think saves you more money overall...

I am not really sure. I have switched to mainly Nexxus, but also I have found a routine and stuck to it. So that could be why my hair has been doing so well.

Not necessarily, for example I bought some nexus shampoo & conditioner which costed about $25 each. After using the products I was like duh, b/c it was not worth the money I spent for it. I returned them back to cvs & got my money refunded. I will be sticking with my motions products, which does wonders for my 4a/b type hair.

I think it depends on the quality of the line of products. For instance, for me, Mane n' Tail works great but also Nexxus and Kenra. I'm in college so I try to steer clear of products too expensive. And some expensive things just like inexpensive things are almost the same in quality whether good or bad. But I've recently been looking more into natural products and purchased Aubrey Organics from the Vitamin Shoppe. Price-wise, it was about $16 with tax included for a nice size bottle of shampoo and conditioner. It works fantanstic and every ingredient is recognizable.

I don't use Suave at all because it just didn't work for my hair but V05 did a nice job.

my hair seems to like more expensive stuff. like detanglers for example. mane and tail and pantene didnt work so i had to get rusk which was like 9 bucks. no product can compare to my beloved kenra. i think the cheapies that my hair loves are stasoffro spray, V05 conditioners for conditioner washes that absolutely do not work as normal conditioners and queen helene cholesterol.

Hey all I can understand why we  should spend a little on our hair every once in a while BUT do you think the more expensive products are better than their rival..the cheaper brand? Y'all I was appaulled to see something as trivial as Suave shampoo (which used to be a dollar) go up by 50 plus cents!  (Mind you it wasn't even herbal)When my brand shampoo (anything that leans ,detangles, strengthens my hair) runs out  I usually gravitate to Suave . Do y'all do anything similiar? I love Creme of Nature  but it seems like you have to form a note of petition to keep it in stock around here.
