Thanks Juss...most of the books that I have posted are not novels they are true stories (nonfiction) by indivuals or groups of people whom have experienced them. The only book that is a novel is from Sistah Souljah. Also, many of these books were choosen by my Professors for my major (Anthropology) and they DO help me with my major and also help others be more knowledgeable about events that are going on around them.

Chess...what network is that documentary going to be on. I probably wont be able to watch it, its exam week, I just stop on here from time to time.

I'm not much of a novel reader, I tend to prefer practical books (management, accounting, law), I find they help develop me into a better business person. But one of my personal favourite novels is Black Boy by Richard Wright.

If you haven't read it, check out the reviews/summarizations on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0060929782/qid=1102969734/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/002-0262414-9614421

Incredible book, hands down.

On the other realm, I'd say one of my favs is Life & Def by Russell Simmons and Nelson George.

If you read entrepreneurship/music industry books, link me up.. I've read quite a few, but am always looking to see what else is worth a read.

Young, can you give me a summary of the book PUSH.

Also, I have added another book, my brother recommends it and sent it to me.

Ay I remember reading a book about a black teen growing up in this crazy ass life where her dad was a drug dealer, etc...

The inside back cover had P. Diddy talking about the author who was female being one of the best African American writers...it was a hip hop type book, if y'all know what I'm talking about then help me out cause I wanna read more of her **** but I forgot her name lol
