Hiya Mocha,

NO I didn't have to double process to get either of the browns, and I'm willing to bet I can get a bunch more of the warm colors and reds with experimentation. Yes I used heat but only on the 8.

I've been able to get to 613 with bleach only -- but it's really tricky timing, heat, and coverage-wise. I'm thinking I need a wetter bleaching mixture.  I didn't have enough hair to re-experiment. But the hair still felt fine except for about the last 1/8" which I trimmed, and I treated it after bleaching with a blend of polymers, elastins, amino acids, and collagen, with heat. I was so excited about the blonde colors I achieved that I immediately put them in my hair!

As just mentioned in this board, getting too pink is a problem. . .it seems quite common because of the violet undertones that are there to cut the orange.  I join you in your sickness to get to *just* the right color!!

Anyway this is way off of amm's topic so when I get a lot of this perfected I'll post the info in a thread!

Amm: Your hair link is interesting. Re: the double drawn, it concurs with what my Indian guy told me -- i.e. that to get the double drawn hair, they end up with about a 10% yield. For example they start with 10 kg of hair to end up with 1 kg for double drawn.

I don't have them. Not gonna have them either after the reviews here (thanks everyone). The first photo top left #22 is the one I wouldn't mind getting for a friend to see how it is but the other stuff just doesn't cut the mustard visually.

But you didn't have to double process to get that 8?  That's amazing

a sample of the three would fabulous.  looks like its about right for me.

any heat?  30 minute timing?

mmm I may have to play with the hair when mine arrives just to see if I can double process it into 613.  I'm really sick to want that challenge...

These are really small strands so they don't look that hot. . .I'm still working with my original sample hair I got. Anyway the one on the left is truly a 3, the one on the right is an 8. I got the 3 by using 40 volume and Clairol Professional 34D. I got the 8 with 40 volume and Clairol Professional 311D. This hair doesn't budge with anything other than 40 vol.

Mocha I'll send you the 3 if you want to see it.

Sorry for my crappy camera/photography skills .  .  .

I personally don't think it looks good. Kinda straw-like. Now your EP hair? That rocked!

It's hard to tell about the double-drawn without seeing the ends. I would ask the vendor to send a photo of the ends before even considering moving forward.

hey fina could you post a pic of that dark warm brown you got?

Would you be willing to share your recipes with those of us getting the hair?

And at the risk of sounding stupid.  Why would Indian hair go through China?  I know it does all the time.  and that Lots of Chinese hair claims to Indian hair that is being moved through China and it adds ambiguity to the whole situation.  But huh?

That's funny. . . nothing against Chinese hair whatsoever!!  After all that's what EP's softwear is. . .

BTW the coloring experiments are going well with the Indian Remy I have. I created an absolutely *gorgeous* dark warm brown yesterday.  I can only stand to do a little at a time. It is so messy working with the bulk hair. When I get my weft. . .ooowwweeee!!  It'll be better than finger painting!

It's double drawn Indian Remy.

All the way from China, of course.
