If you don't now use a conditioner, you should start using one every time you wash.

Get yourself some jojoba, an oil-like golden liquid. Apply a couple of drops to your hands, rub to spread, then run your hands though your hair until your hands are clean. Brush with a boar bristle brush to spread. Repeat until you are satisfied. This will make your hair much less flyaway.

I have fine longhair, and it's in much better condition at this length than it was when it was shorter.
