I can braid normally on my own head, even in the back, but I can't pinchbraid- like you say, separating out the thread and doing the wrap is the hard part. I can braid without using my eyes, but it seems you do need to see what you're doing to pinchbraid- I even have difficulty doing it in low light. I'm going to try pinchbraiding in my graduation hair next week, and will probably sucker my boyfriend into being the one to pick out the thread and do the first crossover.

I did a few on my fringe and they were fine, they are still in a couple of weeks later and not showing any signs of coming loose or anything

i just cant for the life of be figure out how people do the back of their heads?

none of my friends are that fussed on spending hours & hours doing them for me & my boyfriend has big hands and large fingers - it would be a nightmare for him to try them LOL

Most people get their pinchbraids done professionally. And for a good price too.Noone offers it here or I would get it done myself.I've heard its really hard to master.I tried a few on my practice head. They looked pretty good. But when I tried them on my own hair that was a different story. There are some on here that have done their own.Maybe they can give us some advice on what worked for them.

I cannot figure out how people on here do things like pinch braid extensions in their own hair????

I had a hard enough job getting one or two in the fringe the platting is ok, but trying to separate out the cotton from the hair and twist it then knotting it in thr mirror or by feel is virtually IMPOSSIBLE

whats the secret? how do you do it????
