First of all I can't see what all the fuss is about jessica. Yeah she's blond and from time to time she acctuallt looks good, but have you heard her talking? Everytime she opens her mouth i can't stop my self from feeling embarased for her.
I know this is a hair forum so I will agree that her hair is a nice blond color that alot of women want them selves. But in these pics that's been posted here she looks a mess...

I agree with what all of you are saying... I just mean, specifically in Jessica Simpson's case, she seems like she's hiding under the make-up,  not that everybody who wears make-up is!!

I just think her eyeliner started to melt. Too much eyeliner (guility myself of it all the time cause I love it!) is to enhance your eyes, usually to make them pop out more, or to bring more attention to them. I have never ever heard of girls putting lots on to hide anything. Even goth girls line thier eyes exessively to bring more attention to the hard work they put into slapping all that black and grey and blue on em'. HMmm... anywhoo that's a horrible pic of jessica... even lindsay looks a bit better than she does. LOL

I think wearing a boatload of makeup....especially eyeliner makes it look like you're hiding, or your face isn't good enough.   IMO she always seems like she'd hiding behind a big thick mask of make-up.  Especially since she's naturally so pretty.

Good question Kuroneko.... but being a makeup person I have to ask the same question.  That just doesn't make sense to me.

I liked her hair at that event.  I guess I think she wears too much eyeliner all the time.  It makes her look insecure.

I wish I could find a better picture but she looks like she has a "brush cut" but I know that it is just pulled back.

The caption to the photo reads:
