The color you end up with will depend on what your hair looks like after colorfix, so you should wait til after you've used the colorfix to see what color you've got.
In a salon they'd have all those shades in stock, so they could just grab the right one.
"Ash blond" can have any of several different base colors. Don't just buy one, you're going to need the right one.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
Thanks. I will exchange it for a dark ash blonde. What if the color is more red than orange or a mix of red/orange? Will the dark ash blonde work on that as well.

Demi color will not come out in four washes (unless you're washing with
bleach or something). Maybe she meant four weeks? At any
rate, how long the color lasts depends on the porosity of your hair,
the starting color, and the color you're dying.
I think dark golden blonde may not have been the right choice. If
the colorfix works, you'll probably have orangy hair, and you need an
ash dye to counteract the orange (unless you want red hair). A
dark ash blonde (blue-violet base) would probably be best, but this
depends on what color your hair is post-colorfix.
Unfortunately she's out of town and then closing her house so she's not available for a couple of weeks. What other color do you suggest I purchase in case the red comes back. What color can I possibly put on top of the red to get it to brown?
BTW, the lady at Sally's said the demiperm would wash off in 4 washes, is that so?!

Whatever you do, don't open the color til after you use the colorfix. That way, if it leaves a different color than expected, you can take back the color and get your money back. If the pinkish purple doesn't come out, the dark blond may not cover it. Just to be on the safe side, you should call your hairdresser and describe exactly what color you've got so she can tell you what to do next.
No, you shouldn't use permanent color. Permanent color contains a bleaching agent to make color take to virgin hair, and can damaged processed hair.

I used H&S shampoo and saw plenty of it going with the water as I rinsed. I washed about 4 times and didnt walk out until the water was clear. I see very very little change, what I do see is more of the red showing through. I mean, it's not noticeable unless you really stare under the light but of course one can tell!
I made a trip to Sally's and purchased the Color Fix along with 2 tubes of WELLA Color Charm DemiPerm color in 6G 6/35, Dark Golden Blonde. My hair dresser had told me when I spoke to her that I should have used a dark blonde instead of the brown. In any event, I want to make sure that this additional $30 I spent at Sally's will give me some results. What should I expect? Is that the right color? Should I have bought permanent? How long does the demiperm last? thanks a bunch. I think I would have gone crazy if it wasn't for the great help on this forum.
My only other option is to wait 2-3 weeks for my hair dresser to be available and go with her. She said becasue my hair was so long that it was better not to bleach as it is so damaging and she said probably my hair would come out so uneven in colors that it'd be a royal mess to fix. She suggested instead to do brown tones highlights to bring down the black a bit and have it all blend in. My goal is to eventually end up with my natural med/dark brown color so the thought of getting highlights scares me as I've done highlights before and not a fan of them. Plus it will be more expensive than the already spent $30 at Sallys'.
The dandruff will just help fade the hair more before using Colorfix, however please do a test strand w/ colorfix before doing it all over...It usually turns orange however as i mentioned it might not affect the feria underneath at all so expect to see the red, altho i don't think it will take it to the exact red it was before either, which is why it is wise to perform a strand test and to also see if ur hair can handle it. If the strand test doesn't come out how u want then try it again over it. Sometimes it requires two tries, and see how it turns out then
I didn't use the shampoo as I thought I'd wait until I spoke to her today. I will however be doing it as soon as I get home. The quickfix and the shampoo, will turn it orangy not just back to the red???

Oh no i'm sorry to hear! My suggestion would be to use colorfix on ur hair, u might have to use it twice tho, if ur hair is in good condition. Then it will probably be sort of an auburny orange shade, which usually happens after colorfix. I'm sure that nice and easy will come out w/ that...its really only the feria thats the problem...but strand before u attempt this AND the new color on ur hair. Meanwhile, has the dandruff shampoo helped at all? I know this advice sounds a bit messed up i'm not sure what condition ur hair is in...
Bad news! Spoke to my hairdresser and she's on vacation starting tomorrow and the next week she's moving to a new house. So she can't see me for at least 15 days! I dont' think I can go w/ this black hair for so long.
Well i was gonna say u could *try* colorfix then bleaching or bleach bath and coloring it over, but u are blessed w/ a good stylist so u really should take advantage of that ...In the mean time u could try an anti-dandruff shampoo to strip some of the color.
my hair goes down to mid back. took me a very very long time to grow since my hair grows very slow. So, cutting it is not even an option. I just can't believe my hair turned out sooo black!
I am considering calling my hair stylist who is a miracle worker but I know for sure I'll have to put up with her speech, maybe even a black eye ! I really just want to get my hair to my natural color, I know it won't be accurate, but a med/dark brown is what I was looking for.
I do see a little bit of red tone on my roots, very light but still there. I guess that FEria stuff really is prewy strong!
I've been reading on the forum about the Quickfix and DAwn/liquid Tide. Would I have any hope of it stripping some of the color even if just the black using either method? I can deal with the red more than the black. And if it were to strip the black, would I be able to use any kind of color on top of the red to get a brown color or I really have no hope on this?

You found out the hard way that dye + dye = darker color.
How long is your hair? I'm asking because this is the kind of mistake you may not be able to recover from, and you're probably going to have to grow it out. The Feria is really permanent, and my experience with Nice'n'Easy is that it won't fade on its own. So even if you managed to strip the Nice'n'Easy, you're still stuck with the Feria.
Consider getting some bright extension streaks. Synthetic comes in marvelous colors that contrast nicely with black.

Hi All. What a nightmare. My hair was a light brown and I decided I wanted it red. I purchased a Feria hair color Rich Aurburn, it came out almost pinkish purple. So i went back and purchased a Nice and Easy Dark Brown and now my hair is black, and I MEAN black! What can I do now? I was crying last night. I have mid back curly hair and it looks so horrible! Thanks for any advice.
