No, just one chip. I let it melt then tap the wand shut to coat both sides with the melted chip and then apply it to the hair . Once the melted chip saturates the hair it's ready to roll.

Kristin, would you say to use two chips (one for the top and one for the bottom part of the extension)?

What exactly do you mean by oil resistant? From oily products?

As for heat, you wouldn't want to hit them with your straightner or anything or they'll melt like any form of fusion.

You can use any type of fusion wand to install extensions with the fusion chips but I recommend geting one that has a groove in the tip to hold the chip like this one:

I just got some samples of the chips.  I'm going to play around w/them prob. tomorrow.  I only have the docs wand, so I'm wondering if this will work?  

Over time, the oil will disolve the fusion bond.
