Thanks for the pictures. They are really helping, but I'm still trying to figure out what sort of cut to ask for for the back of my hair. I probably won't get my hair cut for another month or so, but I'll update when I do. I'm trying to gather as many pictures and research as I can before I make my appointment so I don't end up with another bad cut (which seems to be the story of my life).

Hello. I found this forum looking for pictures of a particular hair style I wanted. After finding this article --http://www.hairboutique.com/tips/tip3911.htm -- I thought someone here could help me. I really like the way the actress in this article wore her hair in the second part of "Joan of Arcadia"'s first season, but I'm not sure how to communicate that to a hair stylist. If anyone watched the show, I particularly liked Grace's hair in the episodes between "State of Grace" and the first season finale, but I can't really find any good screen captures or pictures of similar cuts. (An episode entitled "Anonymous" had a good wrap-around shot of the actress that showed the cut from different angles and might help a stylist, but obviously I can't bring a film reel to a salon!) Her hair looks like it is layered somehow and shorter in the back, but I'm not quite sure what sort of hair styling words to use to explain the cut. I don't want to end up with extremely short hair in the back and long hair on the sides of my head. My hair is also very thick at the ends, so I may have to have it cut so it is thinned out at the bottom. If anyone can give me advice on what kind of cut to ask for, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
