I color around my client's hair extensions all the time, whether it be wefts or a strand application. Just be careful not to get color on the extension hair, and rinse it very well.
If you want to do bonded wefts that last a bit longer you might want to
try either Liquid Gold or Chrissy V glue. Fusion glue for wefts,
seems like a mess waiting to happen.
Also how often are you doing your roots? cause you should be able
to get your roots done and then put your wefts in. Even if you do
your roots every three weeks that's right about on schedule to take the
wefts out and redo them
Also look through the archiving thread and the 101 stuff and find Sherrie's sandwich technique which will make them stay longer.

Hi everybody! I'm new my name is Gina(lol you'd assume so, right?) and i'm 16. I've been doing my own extensions for a year now and im obsessed. I also plan on being a hair stylist and going to beauty school. I can't say how much i really enjoy this board...you guys are so awesome.
Here's my question- is bonding a weft with fusion a bad idea? You see, i'm probably going to use glamourhair which is $$ and supposedly really good quality so i can trust it looking decent being in my hair for a long time. I usually use a latex glue( i.e. proclaim) but i can't keep removing the hair and the glue every 3 days because it will potentially be(and is already)soo damaging(especially since i get my hair colored pam anderson-esque blonde. Which brings me to another question. If this method is OK then will they be able to color around the wefts? Thanks sooo much!
