Good point Layla!  Depends on how you're holding the iron.  If you're rolling it one way and it bends your hair back on itself, that's going to make it look bent when you let go (i.e. the wrong way).  Roll it the way that it rolls up naturally without bending any hair.

You either don't have the ends under the clamp or you're rolling the iron the wrong way.

You are supposed to grasp the very ends so they roll up into a smooth curl.  It sounds like you are grasping too high up and bending the hair down instead.

Hi there,

Looking for a bit of advice

I have just purchased a set of wide curling tongs as was hoping to create a look with loose curls.

The curls look great, however i am having problems with the ends of the sections i have curled?!..as i need to grip the bottom of the section in the tongs then wind up when i release the curl the ends are at 90 degree angles

Has anyone any tips or suggestions to prevent this as the ends completely spoil the look????

Thanks x.
