Good point Layla! Depends on how you're holding the iron.
If you're rolling it one way and it bends your hair back on itself,
that's going to make it look bent when you let go (i.e. the wrong
way). Roll it the way that it rolls up naturally without bending
any hair.

You are supposed to grasp the very ends so they roll up into a smooth
curl. It sounds like you are grasping too high up and bending the
hair down instead.

I have just purchased a set of wide curling tongs as was hoping to create a look with loose curls.
The curls look great, however i am having problems with the ends of the sections i have curled?!..as i need to grip the bottom of the section in the tongs then wind up when i release the curl the ends are at 90 degree angles
Has anyone any tips or suggestions to prevent this as the ends completely spoil the look????
