I had braids and it took me only a short time to get waves. But I didn't cut it all off either. I cut it down to about 1/2 and brushed everday. I've cut lower than 1/2 inch since then. But I did not cut all my hair off to get waves.

Look to the skies and keep your eyes on the prize! I been through Hell but, STILL I RISE!

ur hair sounds like how mine used to be about 5 years ago. i used to grow it out and it would be all nappy. then when my sis bf (the best hair cutter i knew) would cut it... i would be rockin spinnas again. till i lost my waves tryin to follow the fad of havin an afro... im back on track now

You cxan cut it but get a dark ceasar not a light cus u sound like u still need some improvement.

If you cut too low just like he said you will have to start over. There is no need to start over cause you still have waves now just need to do something different.

Be patient and keep brushin

keep brushin wit a medium or hard brush, in durag more than u brush to compress ya hair more. so when u cut it ya waves will be deeper, repeat

yo i was thinking abot cuttin my hair all the way down because i want those thick azz wavez lyk c jay but every time my hair grows my spinnas fade away   that really pisses me off so  should i cut it all the way off and start all over or should i be patient and keep brushin ???!!!
