Thank you...sounds like I need to go with the LONG LINES. I didn't realize that's what those were called. I have tried a couple brands of those, even buying a size 2-3 sizes bigger on the chart than what I 'should' buy and they STILL squeeze! I don't want to be shaped and held in...just smoother lol. A couple of those just seemed to move the pany line down to mid thigh. I have heard of a brand called 'spanx' but haven't found any localls so I can try them before ordering. At $25.00 a pop, I want to be sure they work before I invest.
They bore the embroidered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday routine. I never understood why Mom made such a fuss if I wore Sunday on Wednesday. I knew they were clean, but I guess she was concerned about that infamous "What if you are in an auto accident?"
Longline panties will be your best bet. Some brands are tighter than others. Keep in mind they aren't meant to make you look hot, they are to assist in the finished look with your clothes on. When putting them on, just don't look.
They run up to ten dollars, sometimes up to twenty depending on where you buy them and the length. In previous times, I was known to cut the legs off pantyhose, thus making my own Longlines after the feet or legs had worn out. Word of warning...when pantyhose are labeled "Control Top", they mean "Squeeze your guts all day so you can't wait to get them off". Whew!
QVC has a great deal on panties like this, you can get two pair of them in either nude or black for only $17.00. If you get a chance to visit QVC, see item #A53201, or visit the link below for direct view.
They also have a three pack of assorted panties in various lengths for only $18.43...Item #A00615.
I can not and will not do the thong thing. Going without went out when I was still in my teens, and most panties these days are so wimpy. I need something to hold my buns!
Happy panty hunting!
(somehow that didn't sound quite right, LOL)

What are 'long line' panties? Are they what we refer to as granny panties? I have some because they are better than some other underwear for the lines. Voctoria's secret is where I got the thongs I tried. I only kept them on about an hour the 1st day I tried them and had to change. The next time I wore them to work to force myself to get used to them...three them in the trash at the end of the day lol.

Consider silk boxers, or even old-fashioned longline panties.
I'd think the silk boxer would "bunch" and still show some type of lines & longline panties....Ughh! When I need a no VPL look, I wear thongs w/ the thinnest possible side/middle straps, that way it's not so uncomfortable. Victoria's Secret have some great ones!

I have tried so many different types of underwear trying to get rid of the dreaded VPL (visible panty line). I have clothes that I never wear because I haven't found the right underwear. I've tried a couple thongs..even specific brands that others have told me are comfy...No..not for me...and going without underwear isn't for me either. I have tried a couple brands of the pants that are like hose without legs, but they are so tight and I can't imagine wearing them in this Florida heat all the time!
