dang, renee! you're all over the place! and thank you layla for correcting me..i registered and looked at the photos from the gallery..she apparently used 2 red rollers in order to obtain that style..it certainly saves on buying clips.  i wouldn't know what type of clips to purchase anyway..

i'm going to try this out, but i still think the mark from the curlers might show up..my hair is on the kinky/perm side..

thanks again, ladies!

I wear my hair in a wrapped style and I usually wear a part on the right side. When I wrap, I wrap clockwise or vice versa when I switch to a left-sided part. I try to switch up to avoid any breakage or shedding from having the hair parted on the same side all the time.

I actually tried an alternative to wrapping this weekend after seeing this on Longhaircareforum in a members album (I think her name is DSD-you can do a search there for pictures). It's where you comb all your hair up towards the top of your head (mohawk style) and use about 4-6 large rollers going back in a row. Comb down the next morning/whenever & style. I think may like this better than wrapping!!  My hair had soooo much body and bounce. I think I will be using this method frequently. Good luck & hth~.

i have long hair, and usually kept it protected by wearing a full weave..the beautician figured it's a good time to let my hair out, and gave me a great layered style and a part off the side.

i didn't want to go through the hassle of styling/blowdrying everyday (which isn't good for anyone's hair anyway)..and heard about wrapping it.. the problem is, the style is layered and i don't know what type of "clips" to use to keep the hair in place.

so far, i've managed to wrap the hair around my darn neck..and because there is a part, i don't know which way i should wrap it..left side clockwise? or counter clockwise?  my beautician tried showing me, it didn't seem right.

I'm using rollers, but there's an indentation where i have to crimp them closed..

help?
