Dunno, but that lazy French refined texture looks like 95% of the blonde HH I've bought after washing--not straight, not truly wavy, certainly not curly, but just kinda odd. I never liked it, and it certainly never blended with my own hair, so I spend hours straightening it, then curling it.... This is one of the leading reasons I don't wear HH anymore.

Now, the one batch of black I bought was like the top pic--like a straight with just a bit of natural wave (neither was from RK/indianhairs.com). Why the difference? I have *no* idea.

:)

LHD - It was crappy right out of the package. I was shocked at the way it felt. You could've told me it was horse hair and I would have believed it. I agree about the batches being inconsistent. I can understand why that is but it's frustrating.

Koffee - The ends were so horrific, it looked like pubic hair. No joke. I should've washed and conditioned BEFORE cutting it, though. I don't think I would have had to take off so much. It really responded well after conditioning. It soaked it up and became super soft. The hair now is 17". I could've stopped at 20" and it probably would have been fine. I'll know better next time. I'd love to wear it but the hair diameter is so thick, I'm not sure it would match with my super fine hair. Plus, I'd probably ruin it with coloring.

If anyone wants it, let me know.

thanks for the pix AMM. They do look kinda similar.  U trimmed 5 inches off the indianhairs pix (first one)? How long was that hair to begin with? I have 16 and 18 inch indianhairs.com, and I think I need to trim a good 5 inches off, but won't have much inches left after that. . And I agree, My IH.com hair did't arrive soft and pretty either.. It was hard and crisp feeling  But once i washed, and  kerasilk-conditioned a few times, it was much softer. A good deep condition goes a long way on this hair.

How was the first one crappy?I got a really good batch the last time. But I have been reading things that make me wonder if i should.I did remember that the hair looked tons better after washing. It is a good price for the hair,But the batches seem to vary so much.

The first pic is natural straight from indianhairs.com. Very pretty and very soft. It did not arrive that way, however, and I thought it was utter crap at first. After two shampoos and deep conditioning, it really is a beautiful weft. I trimmed 5 inches off it to shore it up and get rid of the crispy ends.

Here's the Pre-Curly and Bodywave. Yeah, I couldn't tell the difference either right out of the bag. Even colors #27 & #12 look the same. There's some subtle color and texture differences that the camera cannot pick up but they're very slight.

Here's them after a wash, condition and finger comb only. The texture difference comes out now and there's a definite difference in the two. The top is the bodywave and is more like a perm, imo. It's rougher to the feel and snags toward the bottom. A trim of a few inches would probably fix that. The Pre-Curly is softer and is exactly the same texture as the natural straight I've received. Batch to batch may differ but that's my take on this shipment.

My confusion is this -- if RK's natural straight is only dyed a different color, why is there SUCH a difference in the wave between the top natural black one and the colored ones? All the dyed ones seem to have this lazy french refined look but the top one is this soft, natural S pattern. ??

Still, in spite of its issues, I'd choose any of this over bss hair any day.
