Kateadrena, where will you be flying from?

Kalika, do you mean that you just used the latex AS a gel? I don't know how you did it, but it is still amazing me!

I just installed the rk hair I got from syren with latex glue (I need a temp install while I wait for the order from india, no WAY I can have beautiful hair around and not installed on my head lol), and after I take a bath and clean up a bit I'll post pics, I "glued" the shortie bits down so you will see how it looks

y'all may have to go ahead without me if you are doing this in the next week.  I'm leaving for a wedding on thursdady morning and trying to get all kinds of stuff done before I leave...

Kalika, that is a fantastic job you did! I can't wait til I can have some real hair of my own on the top of my head to do that! I'm still wearing a top piece until my hair grows more.

Mocha, goes without saying, your invited! Haven't heard back from her yet, but anytime you want to get together for a hair install party, just let me know. My house is one street from the ocean, there is a private beach, and the main beach (Nantasket Beach) is down the street. It's just me and my critters now so there is plenty of room. I would love to have people over for a hair party, anytime!

thats the part of my hair after I installed shrinkies, it varied from 1 1/2 inches to 4

I just went really high on my head and used a bit of latex glue to hold down the hairs to cover the bonds

And it really depends on the look you want and the thickness of your hair like others said.

Where in MA are you? I've learned different applications from this board and mabey if your not too far, we can hook up and I'll do your hair. I have shrinkies, fusion, pretips, fusion chips, LG glue, hair of various assortments and the list goes on and on. Let me know! I'd be glad to help you.

I've done extensions on hair that is 2" long, but  the bonds are visible and you have to cover the entire head, which is a LOT of work.
If you don't mind that then someone out there can probably help you.

You need enough to hide the bonds 4 inches would be great but it just depends on your hair, how think or fine. You will need to go higher up to hide the diferance in length but it's not imposible. I find only time will grow hair : (

I lost all of my hair 3 months ago - I was bleaching, wearing extensions and than a hairdresser used a protein treatment that caused my hair to break off at the scalp.  I am trying to grow it back it has been a slow and very painful experience.  I am now wearing human hair 3/4 falls and I have had enough. 

How long does the hair have to be to install shrinkies?  I am at 2.5 inches all around presently.

Also, any advice on growing it quicker would be appreciated.
