Flourescent light in the bathroom, right?
It's a fact of life that different fibers will reflect light
differently. Flouro light is basically green, so one type of hair is
not reflecting the light while the other is; so one is red and the
other is green (ash). The only thing one can do is check the match in
as many different types of light as possible (indoor/incandescent,
flouro, outdoor daylight) before ordering the color.
Yep. I have some pics of some installs in various synths and am a little surprised at how it didn't match as well as I thought. I always thought it was the flash that was bouncing off the hair but I think that was just denial. Blending is always the key.
A big mirror that can be toted outside and to various mirrors in the house for blending checks is a must for the natural install.
I don't know if it's my eyes or the PH hair...but after I looked in the hotel bathroom mirror, I wanted to throw a sack over my head.
In my home bathroom...the color of my hair and the PH hair blend pretty nicely. I couldn't believe the contrast staring back at me under different lighting. The PH hair looked very red and my hair very ash...like I was wearing a little ash beanie with purple and gold streaks coming out the bottom. I realize for those who wear the punky colors, not a problem, but I've got more of a natural look goin' on...or so I thought. Thank goodness I was in Boulder Colorado...nobody gives a rat's a** what you look like there.
I think in candescent lighting and natural light this blends ok...but I hope I never meet a good looking man in a hotel bathroom while I'm wearing these colors.
