pop a couple advil and sleep on your face.  I did that the first couple nights after a full shrinkie install.

Sleep on one of those cilender shaped pillows for a few nights, that way just your neck is suported and your head is not against anything. This helped me alot.

I have done many heads with the MB shrink links, and I have never seen a person react by getting those tension welts.  I personally used to get tension welts when I was getting weaves, so I know what you're talking about.

Is this stylist experienced in this application?  I think they may have put them in too close to the head, therefore too tight.  I'd call the stylist right away and explain your concerns.  If you were my client, I'd want to you come in so I could see what you are talking about and figure out what to do.

In the meantime, use an astringrent like Witch Hazel or Seabreeze to soothe your skin.  Dab it on a cottonball an apply to the sore areas.

As for layering the hair, yes you can razor it.   But many times I don't want to over-do the cutting of the hair because if you're planing on reusing it several times, once you take if off your head and try to reapply it, it's almost impossible to get it back in the same place, and then it may look like a choppy hair cut.  To me, that's the big draw back of reusable human hair extensions.

Good luck!

Yes, it's normal for your scalp to be very tender and sore after a full
head application. I have experienced that with everything from sew-
ins to microlocks to shrinkies. The worst part was trying to sleep the
first night. Even the pillow was uncomfortable.

Take a pain reliever that works for you and it should be better in a
day or two.

Its normal to be sore for awhile. But you should be careful and pay extra close attention to your roots. The hair may be too heavy for the strands they are attached to.Do you see and root bulbs? If not just give it a little time. The tenderness should subside. But if for some reason it gets worse then you will probably need to get them out.Just wait and see.

They are killing in certain spaces, like around the temples and hairlines..I have fine hair...she did the Chris Barrington Method.

I notice little welts like sores from where they are pulling ( I only had them put in Wed) Ihave had weaves and hairlocs and thought these were gentler..

Is it smart to do smaller shrinkies or bigger? Which will hurt less? I think she did like 150-200 on my head and it cost a pretty penny..lol

Also, I don't think that the stylist is too aware, but you can totally layer individuals...to blend in with my own..like razor them, can't you?

Thanks a ton!

: )
