I use Flasher spray. I use Goldwell Kerasilk Conditioner. I brush from the bottom up. A littl eat a tome, Small sections until I do the whole head. I use a brush with the smallest pin tops possible. (I got at Sally's) I don't use a boar bristle brush. For near the roots I use a looper brush. (I got at Sally's, but you can get a better one at Hair Candy.net) I use my fingers to make sure there are no matts near the roots, I finger comb/brush the inside, the scalp area where th bonds/pichbraids/ connections are. I HAVE to get my fongers UP IN THERE to make sure no tangling is occuring or there will be heck to pay. Do the whole scalp.  This is pretty much how I deal with my plastikhaar.

Like Jenny, I just started using rollers. This helps restore shine, take away frizz and yuck,  and brings back wave and bounce, and hides the fact overall that it 'ain't really yo' hair at all!' :)

Good Luck

i love plastikhaar

Alexia, earlier in the year, Jenny_RR posted exhaustive accounts of her experiences with PH - she posted lots of pictures and gave detailed info on how she cared for it, which products she used, etc. Other PH users contributed to the threads with their experiences & recommendations as well, but Jenny was one of the first to put PH through a complete hair cycle. Try looking at around page 80 or so on the board. It was around January. Just keep reading from that point on and you'll find out everything you could possibly want to know about PH.

I'm afraid I'm not a good poster child for care.  I wash my scalp every 2 days and the ends just once a week.  I rarely use a brush on the hair...just my fingers.  Whatever shampoo is in the shower is what I use, same with conditioner.  That's it.  Nothing special.  No coddling this hair.  It feels just like the day I put it in...maybe a little rougher on the ends.  It's really low-maintenance hair.

hey gals,

I have read the plastikhaar care off plastikhaar's website and understand fully the hair care, but I was wondering what you girls do for the upkeep of your plastikhaar. I have done a search on this and there is not much I found, so if this a repeat I am sorry. What is included in your daily hair care(both your natural and plastikhaar). What type of plastikhaar do/did you have? What products do you use? What styling products or tips do you use? How long does the upkeep take everyday? Do you heat style even though it is not recommended and if so how does it turn out (including blow drying wavy or curly hair)? Thanx in advance, any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Life moves pretty fast. If you dont stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
