Thanks Long hair dreams.  I will definatley go grt a demi tomorrow.  As for the ash toner it worked wonders!

However, you are right about the orange.  Until then at least it is bearable and it even looks pretty at night!

Is there any particular brand that you would recommend?  Anyway, I really appreciate your feedback thanks!

Thank you! My hair is perfect and all that stress just melted away. My
brother came back in the morning(along with a friend who just HAD
to see my weird hair) with a permanent Medium Brown color. I
attempted the strand test with some sideburn fuzz and then applied
it to scalp and brows. Now my hair is back to the dark brown,
perhaps a fair bit darker since I've grown into brown from blond.
Anywho, my nightmare is over and my hair is SHARP. Thank you!!

The lady at the beauty supply store is absolutely right about the undertone colors. And your right about the toners. They will help give you the shade of blonde you are wanting, granted you have been prelightened to the right shade.I have had shaved eyebrows(dont ask, lol) Thye will grow back in fine. But it looks really weird to have shaved eyebrows.Luckily they grow back in really fast.

A-socal girl, you said your highlights were bright yellow and orange. The toner is enough to work on the bright yellow,If you wanted a medium blonde or less. But not even close for orange.A demi is another gentle way to counteract bad blonde. It is deposit only dye.Plus it will cover up even the orange.Plus it will look much better than orange.Just buy it a couple shades lighter than what you want, cause it goes on dark. But fades fast.

As for you g1otto: If your whole head is prelightened to the piss yellow ,lol, stage you mentioned(no orange)then you are ready to tone.Born blonde from the makes very nice shades sans the yellow you referred to earlier. But if you really hate the blonde. Then you can get a demi in your choice of brown. It will hold like a permanent dye. But yet again get a couple shades lighter. It can go way to dark.(learned that firsthand).

Good luck to the both of you:)

since I posted my question I was able to get a hold of my stylist and she told me she could not see me untill monday!  I told her I have a dinner tonight and I would rather not go then show up like this.  She advised me to get an ash toner from the beauty supply, which I did.  Now I am going to have to wash it out in 10 min so I will let you know how it works.  The lady at the store helped me and explained that dyes are set up with diffirent undertone colors. to get rid of brassy orange and yellow you want a blue or violet undertone.   A toner is not a dye but is made for hair that has been bleached to bring it back to a more gentle shade of blonde.  (see how knowledgable I have become:0)  Do not shave your eyebrows! some people do not grow them back or they will but never the same!

I'm a guy. Yesterday I got my hair buzzed and soon after I decided to
use a higlighting kit I got for Christmas to bleach, well, my whole
head. Mistake #1...I decided I would bleach my eyebrows as well,
since I figured it would look somewhat more natural if I went the
whole nine yards. Mistake #2......So after I dried off my hair, I
discovered that not only could I not see my eyebrows; I had bleached
parts of my scalp and all the hair on my head was a bright piss
yellow. Not white, so it wasn't actually bleached, but yellow for
highlights.

Since yesterday I've had so many comments and stifled giggles. It's
making me really uncomfortable and all I want is my dark brown
buzz cut back. I understand that one can color their hair alot of hues
once they've bleached their hair. But I'm afraid that if I try to go
brown, it will totally make it worse.

Just so you know how serious this situation is: it's not just a bad-
looking cut, I have SENIOR PICTURES in two weeks. I NEED help from
someone who knows what I should do.

Things I've done to try to make my situation better:

1. My brother says that white-bleached hair is better looking than
the piss-yellow I have now, so this morning, in attempts to achieve
that color, I followed the same process from the first time and
reapllied it with no different outcome.

2. I've emailed Clairol, the creators of the Herbal Essences
Highlighter product that I've used and asked if there was any way to
return to my dark brown without having to go out into public and
paying alot of money at a salon.

3. Finally, I've thought about just shaving my eyebrows so that they
will grow back a dark brown, but decided against it considering I
don't know how long it will take to grow them back and that it might
just end up much worse than it started.

EDIT:
Ive decided to send my brother out to pick up some cheap dye from
WalMart or something. My goal is to go back to dark brown at some
point before class pictures in two weeks. I've heard that you have to
go from bleach to red to brown to pull off a brown without going
green, but I may be forced to only use one color.

Does someone have a good or better solution? I need to know by
midnight tonight when my bro gets off work.
