QuoteReplyTopic: fine hin hair and what kind of extension Posted: August 02 2005 at 8:56am
i have really fine blonde hair and i tried the extentubes and did not
like them. You could totally see them and i hated it. What i
found that i did like are shrinkies, they are the best method for
blonde thin fine hair,my hair is longer, BUT they worked and they were
hardly noticable unless i like put my hair in a funky position!
Goodluck!

I think it's too hard to get strand extensions to blend into hair that short. I would have done a wefted method.
Today I did Ultratress seamless wefts on a woman whose natural hair was only 3-4" and layered all over. It came out beautiful and natural. I didn't take pictures because she didn't want to do before and after pictures, but she was happy with it and so was I.
For hair that short, I'd recommend wefts, the seamless kind are less detectable, but the machine wefts will also work better than strands for short hair.
My sister had got extendtube extensions today and she wants them out already. She has very fine thin hair that is blonde and about 3 inches long. They put in about 10 rows and she said that the top couple rows you can totally see them. Is this quite normal or is there a better method for fine shorter hair? Thanks for any advice! By the way she said that the extensions are about half way up .
Thanks
