Wow...no heat control? That's crazy. I gotta be able to control my heat. Thanks cookiesnkream for the flat iron reviews. I'm gonna check out the Wigo and Solia. I've heard a lot about the sedu also.
yeah,, i actually went crazy lookin for the best flat iron
reviews last night, and the best one apparently is the
Solia,, as expensive as the CHI iron is,, IT DOESNT
HAVE HEAT CONTROL and because of that i
wouldnt even take one free,, i like to use mine on low
heat like around 180,,( and chi set temp is like 300!!)
i had been using a babyliss which stopped
performing well for me and i found that Babyliss
irons got awful reviews,, as for the Wigo onyx i paid
about 89 and i wont be exchanging it ,, it works
beautifully,, the plates feel like glass and i bought the
1 inch size which i see is easier and better for the
hair since when i run over it i wont cover so much of
the hair again and again and it comes in this velvet
pouch and it came in a can!! lol it was the weirdest
thing,, as for jade and sapphire irons im scared
becuz i read about a Solano sapphire that i was
considering that it gets so hot that you shouldnt
touch ur hair for 5 mins after using it ,, or u'll burn
your hand llol ,, when i saw such reviews i
immediately changed my mind,,anyway sorry i wrote
so much,, but if u are shopping for a new iron i would
reccoment either the Wigo i got or the very very well
reviewed Solia,, everyoen seems to love that one ,,
its about 90 or so....
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED
thanx pokahantas,, u always reply to my posts i actually decided im not gonna attempt the blow dryer thing i just bought a more xpensive flat iron,, its the wigo onyx one but i noticed that most irons are made by helen of troy even with different brand name ,, and im not a big fan of helen of troy,, anyway im gonna see how this works,, im considering xchangine it for a sapphire one.....
Your welcome. I'm with you on the Helen of Troy flat irons. I tried one cuz I heard they were supposed to be better for your hair and a lot of peeps were talking about them but it didn't get my hair straight at all. It didn't make it silky or anything and I let it get very hot. I ended up taking mine back and I got the Remington wet 2 straight. It works real good for me so far. I need to do some research on flat irons cuz I have no idea which ones are the best.

I can't get the wrist thing down either...that's why I usually get a blowdryer with the brush attachment already on it. I don't blow dry my hair much though, I feel like it's frying when I do it. I usually sit under the hair dryer until my hair is almost dry and then blow dry the rest out using Dove straight and soft....then I flat iron. Long process.....
i got pretty sick of going to the salon too, so a few months back i purchased an ion brand ionic hot air brush. i use the flat brush attachment and a little silk elements glossing polish and get really good results. i purchased mine from sally's (along with the silk elements) for a little less than $40. i know that's way more expensive than a round brush but it's a lot easier to to work with, plus if you don't like it you can return it within 90 days for a full refund with your receipt. hope this helps
i forgot to mention that it does come with a round brush attachment, if that's what you're into, and some weird pick thing that i never took out the box.
hey guys,, im gettin kinda desperate,, im getting
tired of going to the salon and spending 30 for this
salonist(though i like her very much) who is very
rough on my hair sometimes,,i hear a snapping
sounding when she uses the flat iron and that
really uspets me.. i want to blo my hair at home but i
cant get that wrist thing down!! and what would be
the best sort of round brush if anyone has any tips
