being a warm redhead myself I have done this several times.  I went from a burgundy/eggplant to a medium auburn.  You really should have a hairdresser do this because you need to make sure this solution gets on evenly.

Mix powder bleach (bw2) 20 vol dev, shampoo and conditioner together.  Apply to hair EVENLY leaving roots for last (to prevent hot roots).  Process under heat so it will go faster.  Only apply to the roots after your hair shaft and ends have started lifting up some.  Usually about 10 minutes or so....If you are really dark it may take longer...Just keep checking...When your hair is evenly colored shampoo off.  You should have the color you are looking for without having to apply color over this...that is another reason i suggested a salon, they can make sure color is developing evenly,,,,,if necessary they can spray down a section of hair that has developed correctly and leave the rest to continue processing.  this is hard to do for just one person.....good luck!

Hey everyone!im new here and I have a question about changing the tone of my current red hair.My hair is a medium/dark ruby cherry red,and I would like to give it a slightly warm, fiery red tone to it. how would I go about doing this?Im assuming I'd have to lift my color out a bit with a color remover. I usually use Jheri Redding's One N Only colorfix from sally's,and the color at sally's is pretty good also. I just have a problem with trying to go gingery warm red,it always turns out very cherry and violet toned. From what I can figure out its  probably due to the cool toned red violet pigment in there being pushed further into the hair from trying to color over it. what stuff should I use,and whats the process(es) I would need to be doing?thanks so much!

xoxo Roxxy
