Getting ready for My 1st Install...

Hi Kimberly... yes, lot's of info right?!! I came home from
class and wrote everything down I learned that day..

I purchased off ebay the GS11 Conair Model-Professional
Garment steamer ......Love it!! It came with a very kewl sleeve
press which is fabulous for straightening the hair too, it's the
perfect steam flat iron!!. I paid only $40 for it (got an extra $20
off from the buyer)...they retail for about $120+ for this model. It
is 1400 watts and steams for 1 hr 30mins-non stop steam.

I also bought the conair shiny styles( 5- in- 1) -velvet flockered
flat iron on ebay for about $5-6.....love it too for synth. I have
loads of the flockered jumbo rollers (11/2-13/4") which I set the
synth hair in.....if it comes out a little too curly then I just run over
it *real fast* with the velvet flat iron over the curl and it gives a
nice smoother looser body curl......I don't like the very curl hair
myself...so it gives me the perfect look I like for synth.

ok.

dollylocks took one part (strand so to spk)of color A, and then one of color B and then put it in my head. you could do this.

kris used to take half a pack of color A and half a pack of color B and hand mix them.

the color you have looks a lot like what amm has done in the past. it looks like streaks of colors and not so much actually blended so much.

so you may want to dothe first method i spoke with, then C and D for the next strand?

I am NO EXPERT.

Trying to prep as much as I can and get everything ready to go, and
something's puzzling me:

I'll be using bulk PH hair, should arrive this next week, and of course I
wanted to make this as complex as possible and plan on using FIVE,
count 'em 5, colors. I'll be trying to blend & install the colors as closely
as I can to the colors of the wig shown in the link.

Here's the
colors I bought and what I'm gonna try to do with them

Seller of wig describes colors as pale & golden blonde, light & dark
auburn, and copper red. I purchased Satinblond, Goldblond, Kupfer,
Haselnuss, and Fichte to try and replicate this. I'll either be using linkies
or shrinkies with the loose plastikhaar. Oh, and my hair color (at the
moment) is dark auburn with pale/golden blonde highlights, so I'm not
too worried about having a horrendous color clash between my hair and
the ph. (crossing my fingers)

So here's my questions:    How can I blend it all, then take the install
strands out "of the pile o' hair" while we're working, without making a
mess o' hair on the table? How much loose hair do I use for each strand,
just whatever fits in the microneedle or EZ threader? Any tips on how to
organize my loose ph & stuff to make the install go smoothly? Gawd, I
don't even know how I'll store the leftover ph colors and the blend after
we're done.
