Yes it does work and I have one. It cuts off only 1/8 of an inch like it says and is very easy to use and b/c I find it difficult to find someone that will cut off only the amount I want. But you'll need some practice when you first start using it. You have to make sure your hair is straight (not necessarily bone straight) but straight, especially if you have thick curly or thick coarse hair like me b/c its hard to pull through if its not straigtened and kind of hurts . You also have to make sure that your hair is dry and that you have no product in it. You have to section your hair so that its not too much and not wider than the brush. The down side for me is b/c the catcher (the little compartment that catches the hair) is some what hard to get ALL the hair out of. Also it makes a loud clicking/rotating sound when its in use.
Its just my opinion but its not for someone who has massive split ends and needs like more than 1'' cut off.

Have any of you tried the "split-ender" by Revo? It is a machine that you run your hair thru and it automatically trims 1/8" off your ends to eliminate split ends. I saw them on ebay and was wondering if it would be worth buying.
