ok thanks. i'm in tennessee. and i would definately not try a whole head on anyone.i just have a few friends and cousins who want like a "streak" of an unusaul color color in there hair. definiately wuoldn't be on just anyone. thanks for all of the help guys you have been a life saver!!!
at the top of the msg board questions, there is a beginners link- i would start there- good luck-
and oh i agree with Kalia-
i wouldnt do anyones hair without parents permission
i had a client come in(17 yo) a friend of hers had taken a glue gun and craft glue sticks and glued hair into her head, after 3 hrs of trying to get it out, her mom cut it out- the mat and knots were the width of her head and about 3 inches thick, the mother is in the process of suing the girls Mother for letting her "attempt" to do hair extensions without her permission-
be careful, also- not sure what state you are in, but seeing you are still in school, you could get in trouble from state board,

oh yeah you can do full heads of microrings/extendtubes. You have to buy the rings and hair seperate. And yes you can definitely make the clip ins your self by purchasing wefted hair and the clips and sewing them on yourself!

thanks everyone. it is the microrings. i'm kind of confused they are so little so can you do like a whole head of them to make the hair longer or is it just for "streaks of color" also for the clip ins can you make them yourself? like buy the hair and clips seperate and make them the colors and lengths you choose? thanks everyone for the help its all so confusing on which is the best method to use and everything. i would ask around here but i live in a town where all the beauty shops and such are owned buy 60 year old women who have never heard of it

Yup, clip in's. I would not do any other type of extension on someone under 18 without written parental permission (In person, showing ID). WAY too many sue happy people these days.
You can buy the full sets on ebay...or many other places. You can also buy the clips from haircandy.net and purchase your own wefts and make your own clip ins

hi everyone my name is jennifer and i just graduated beauty school. i have had a lot of request for hair extensions and have decided to give them a try!! but i have a question or two.if you don't mind of course? there is A LOT of younger (highschool to middle school) aged kids calling wanting the clam extensions so they can take them out easier. from what i understand the extension hair is attached to a little piece of metal. you wrap the metal around small sections of of own hair and just clamp it down so you use no heat or glue. can someone please give me the propler name for this method i have searched the net but since i don't know the propler name its hard to find anything LOL. also what is the best method for something more permanent ? final question i promise where is a good site that sells the installation kits and all. thanks everyone
