Thanks guys.  I'm going to try the pinchbraids with shrinkies on some poor unsuspecting girlfriend (read:victim)  this afternoon and see how it works out after a few washes.  I'm also hot on the spiritgum tip.

I was thinking of a dab of something at the base of the braid,  that's why I was wondering about something with a long skinny nozzle to apply.  Thanks metalgirl.  So nobody knows what Art Nouveau glue from hisnhers is?  I think I'll visit doc's store and see what they have today.  Cheers.

When we do the Prohair heat seals, they have you put a dab of 'pro stick' at the base of the braid to prevent slipping.  Pro Stick is just spirit gum, which is water soluable and eventually washes out.

I'm afraid that LG, or any other adhesive might become too sticky and be a pain to get out of the hair.

The shrink idea is worth a try too!

Does anyone know what Art Nouveau glue is, from hisnhers.com?  Is that something that might work?  I should just go with it, do the braids and offer her a couple hours of "follow up"

I am also finding this to be true.  I have dark hair and the LG shows thru it and the other day someone said that I was having a "Something about Mary" moment.  Then she laughed and said I had something like white babyfood in my hair.  (she didn't know I was were extensions)  So I would not use LG on anything that would possibly show thru.

Just my 2 cents

Secure them with shrinkies! Kalika tried it on her manny-qin and it looks like it holds great. Here's the thread

I'm looking for some feedback.  I've got a woman who wants pinchbraids in next week and I've lost confidence in them as a method because the last girl I did, they all slid right out (the braids were still tight themselves, they just fell off).  So anyway, since it's a paying gig, I'm trying to work out some security for myself.

What do you all think of hitting the finished pinchbraid with a dab of Liquid Gold.  I thought if I could put the LG in a squeeze bottle with a long nozzle, maybe that would make a difference.

What do you all think?  Has this been tried already?  Cheers!
