she still hasent responded to my question, lol.
I think posting info like that, so solicite business outside of ebay, is against their rules. I bet if you reported it, the auction would be shut down.

yeah amanda i wouldnt worry about her - if any1 is unfortunate enough to go to her it will be a disaster and when she starts she will realise how bl**dy hard it is. you do wonderful work she cant compete.
u shud just be really strict like you said and say they cant bring any1 along if they want info they will have to pay you for a training course which would be $$$$$$
hahaha i just looked at her feedback no way any1 could be so stupid as to go to her
I know chick, you've hit the nail on the head there, I've had so many of them bring their F***** hairdressers with them poking around and asking questions. I'm going to be very strict now with clients and tell them I'm not being funny but my research, suppliers, where I trained etc etc are now guarded secrets because of people using me to set up themselves.
Kalika, me and my hairdresser LeeLou did that under bogus ebay accounts on Friday and do you know she still hasn't replied to us yet, how bad is that LOL xx
Amanda-
I get that all the time too! Some people have the nerves to
contact me telling me I'm the best, have the most informative
site, blah, blah, blah, get me excited; and when all is said and
done- then they say, "I'll only come, if I know you can really,
really make my dreams come true. I live far away"-, or this, or
that...
Rubbish!!! Don't even bother if you know you're NOT
SERIOUSLY coming or buying AT THAT MOMENT!!!
What kills me are those scardy cats pretending they are clients,
or DIYs, or pros. What do you have to hide? I'm not stupid. Pa-
lease!
Now, I bought a better phone system and I'm in the process of
hiring help who will reply to some those "crazy" emails for me!
Amen!
When you get rid of those 'time wasters', the more time you will
have to better grow your business. Time is very crucial
especially for someone who does this full time.
Good Luck, chick!
PS. Don't you just love it when they bring their entourage to
their appt. and go through your stuff, mess it up and asking you
a million questions? {so hard to concentrate }
it will all come out in the wash...watch! i think on ebay, they have sites when the clients get messed over...once the word is out on her..cancel christmas...
i'm just hoping for her sake she doesn't see you in person again...

She'll have to pay to list and relist on ebay (you only get money back on
one listing fee if you actually sell it the second time you list it), but
depending on how fancy her listings are, with a starting price of $.02, she
isn't going to pay much, less than a buck a week. Cheap advertising, I
think you're right leia. When she's really going to pay is when someone
goes to her for extensions, and she finds out how hard it is, and the
client finds out how little experience/knowledge she has. Kapow!

I think it was done that way to avoid eBay fees. Doing "Buy it
Now" or having a very high end price means you have to pay eBay so much
more. (This is where I realized just why so many people charge
unearthly amounts for shipping--it's the easiest way to make money that
eBay won't take a cut from.)
EDIT: Now that I've actually read it...she's using eBay as flat
out advertising. She probably doesn't even expect anyone to
actually bid but just call her. If no one bids, she can just keep
relisting over and over for free (I think), giving her free advertising
space on eBay.
I just read the ad, and I don't get it. She's auctioning her services
on eBay, with a starting bid of 2 cents, but the actual price of the
service is 200 pounds, including a nonrefundable deposit? Why is this
an auction, and if it must be an auction, with isn't it a "Buy It Now"
one? Maybe I'm missing something.
Either way, I would seriously doubt she'll get any takers from that.
Most people like to have a consult first, at least. And if she has as
little experience as you describe, the feedback could be potentially
disasterous for her.
Amanda, you do great work and clients will always come to those who do great work ( and are a nice person, as you are!)
I have seen many people think they want to do extensions, they think they can make a quick buck, until they see how tedious it is to do a proper job!
If you put positive vibes out to the universe and think 'abundance' that's what you'll get, a thriving business. You were trying to be helpful to this girl, and that's good karma for you, regardless of her being deceitful.
I couldn't get my breath when I saw it, god help whoever pays her £200.00 to have their hair done. It took me nearly a year to practice and get things right e.g. sectioning etc, she'll end up ripping people's hair out xx
Curses on her! Not that she needs ME to inflict that on her - this is a really sh*tty thing to do and no good will come of it. ! At least that's what I say!
I do on occasion seeing as I advertise there, go through ebay and check out what's being sold, who's advertising doing extensions etc etc.
Anyway I did a girl's hair a few months ago, then she started e-mailing me and asking me questions etc, she said she was just doing her mum's hair, I gave her a little information and a few tips being the kind sole I am, then it just got to where she was e-mailing me constantly about placement etc and rows and I thought I'm too busy for this, she even asked me if I could get her some of the bohyme that I did her hair with and tip it for her and send it to her and everything so I just told her I was too busy and ignored future e-mails.
She is now advertising her hair extension services under ebay reference number 5616245925 and flipping undercutting me. Is there no end to people's cheek!
The thing that I find hilarious is that she has a feedback score of one in which she is buying hair, micro-rings and instructions on how to do do hair extensions from someone!
