I site that I know of that had her pics is down changing the site. When I see that sometimes they don't come back. I guess we are going to have to check wireimage and gettyimage for any new pics.

The producers had no idea the show might be cancelled when they filmed
the episode. I do imagine that quite a few women in Iraq with long hair cut it
off. They probably have no time to care for it and might not shower every
day. And it's really hot. Long hair could be difficult in such a situation.
Besides that though, I have to agree with you. It's a drastic change that really
wasn't important to the plot. They weren't saying much with the cut. If it was
the producers, she'd have to be okay with it. I can't imagine they'd insist
since it wasn't important. Likewise, if it was her, they'd have to be okay with
it. And if it was her, why not wait another couple of weeks until they are
done filming?
I'm of the mindset that she didn't get the haircut because of the show.
It just doesn't make sense for producers to ask an actor to make such a
drastic change right at the end the road. It really didn't have
anything that made any difference to the plot (added about 5 extra
seconds of dialogue from it). It just doesn't make sense.
I have to believe it was either her decision to cut it, or else it was for a movie role.

Well just read the FX Prez about killing the show. 2.1 million of us watch it so that's why they killed poor rateing.

Well, here's hoping Nicki got her hair cut because she
wanted to, and
not just for the show -- Over There has been cancelled by F/X.
Agreed. She has such a beautiful face that she can pull off any cut, but that
was quite a change. Actresses at her level who cut their hair often get
considered for different parts based on different hair. Samaire Armstrong's
short hair changed her career. I hope this length is lucky for her.

When did this get out. I know the one of the guys that made the show is going to run Commander and Chief. Davies new show on ABC.

I got to wait and see it better. The small pics I have seen make it look like it's pulled back. Then I missed tapeing Over There the last two weeks. So I can't say for sure. I have to say her short bob with the long bangs that was very hot. Then seeing her with waist lenght hair that was like WOW. Now I have to wait to see this short do.

You guys honestly think her new hairstyle looks better than these? Isn't anyone else crushed by this news? Ugh!
I for one never said it was "better'. I said I really liked it
on her, but she does look great with short hair. I had also said
she looked gorgeous with the long curls on Cold Case. I liked her
chin length bob. She looks great at every length.
How can you be crushed by someone who does not seem to be afraid to
change & wear her hair at different lengths? There is nothing
more boring than an actress who has the same hairstyle year after year,
like Jane Seymour.
And Nicki is definitely not UGH with the short style or any other.
Kramer, I won't say I'm crushed by the cut but I can see where you're
coming from. An absolutely gorgeous head of curls that won't be curling
for a while...
Personally, my favorite look is the second one you have, with the
chin-length bob in Maxim (must go find that issue...). That said, I
won't say she looks bad with the short cut either -- because she's
still gorgeous.
So, over all, a slight downgrade. But she's still damn fine.
