Don't really think there is or can be a good hairstyle for Cynthia Nixon.
Lol. Your point is not totally lost on me Fatmoogas. The thing is, last week I flipped through a few early Sex and The City reruns, and was startled at how bad she actually looked. That little bright red hair helmet she bopped around in the first few seasons was hideous.
So, I guess my feeling is that her current look is so exponentially better than her previous ones, especially in it's Emmy night incarnation, that I applauded a bit extra loud for her.

Cross looks great - the green dress was especially flattering with her red hair. Marg looks great too, but her cool-tone mauve dress did not flatter her coloring nearly as much. Mauve is not the best color for a strawberry blond. (Debra Messing was another that should have chosen a warmer color evening gown.)
Nixon looks good as a blond - that is her natural color is it not? Nice classy dress as well. Halle and Portia look fabulous as always.
Arquette looks a lot better as a lighter blond. She really looks a lot older here.
Here is a nice one of Jane Seymour - the red very flattering to her complexion:
Alyson Hannigan was it just short or pinned back? Looks like it was up a bit.
Halle Berry:Is that all real or some fake added in either way looks good.
Fergie:Agree what can't you say.
Marcia Cross:Nice real nice.

Imo, the best hair went to Marcia Cross. Also, up there for me were Mariska , Cynthia Nixon, and Debra Messing.Totally maximized potential for these ladies where style choices were concerned.
Sack the stylist for Paricia Arquette and Alyson Hannigan. Just really stupid choices, imo.
My vote for " marked improvement times one thousand" goes to Macy Gray, and whatever team of magicians threw her together. Had the volume been off when I was watching , there is no way I would have recognized her. Bravo, however short lived the transformation.

Nancy O'Dell, Mary Hart, Lara Spencer, etc: I guess entertainment hostess can be an award category. I just think they should be on the other side of the camera at events like this.
The weird:
Camryn Manheim: Did she get the stomach operation, lose weight, have a face lift or all of the above?
I was just looking at the official Emmys site to see if there were any
interesting pictures and could only find one. Alex Kingston from ER showed
up with light blonde (almost platinum) hair. Is this a new thing? I haven't
seen the show in a while.
