If you use a protein filler on your hair it will significantly reduce the
porousness of your hair and therefor hold color much longer - it's
bleaching that causes hair to be porous.
After applying the color, try wrapping the strip with saran wrap and the clipping (plastic clip) the end to the rest of your hair so it doesn't slide off. How long is your hair?
Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think I can just apply the
permanent dye to the streak only without getting it on the rest of my
hair? If so, how would I protect the surrounding hair? I've
heard horror stories of bleached white hair turning blue or green when
color is added. Is there a particular color I should avoid to
prevent that from happening? Sorry for all the questions.
I have a large
wide bleached white streak in my hair that resulted from frosting
my hair through a cap. I think the hole in the cap tore and too
much hair got pulled through it. My hair is normally medium brown
and this white stripe is too obvious and looks ridiculous amoung the other frosted highlights. It's
the first thing someone notices when they look at my hair.
To correct this problem, I tried using a semipermanent formula which was Loreal Colorspa in
"Auburn". The color is described as the lightest warm
brown. I put it in all of my hair. When I was done, the
stripe was concealed nicely.
Five days later the bleached streak is very noticeable again and the
semipermanent coloring is almost gone. I want the huge bleached
streak gone for good. How can I do this? The frosting
caused alot of damage to my hair. I wasn't paying attention to
the time and left the stuff on for one hour. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
