Hellokitty this syringe (without needle) I had kicking around from from tooth beaching kit. I think the peroxide had deteriorated the rubber a bit, and that's why it crapped out on me. Someone else had used a kitten syringe from the vet. You can get them from the pharmacist too, but I think in some places you need a prescriprion. If you explain that you don't need the needle part - just the plunger, the druggist may sell it to you anyway. And I do my hair with henna.
EmilyStrange - It took about half a bottle (full size) of LG. I like your avatar pic, btw, is that you? You do look like Emily, if it is.
Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I've enjoyed it red but think I'm going to go back to brunette for a while. Maybe with a lot of copper and caramel streaks, though. I'm quite fickle with hair colour.

a syringe is the tube with plunger that is typically attached to a
sharp/needle in order to give an injection. if you use it without
the needle it is a great way to dispense LG without it gumming up in
the bottle as you try to brush it on.
If I didn't say so before sans these are great installs and pics!
and from the pics yes the fina hair looks better but its always hard to
tell in pics.
Excuse the low pic res, (and my almost booty) my camera is fairly cheap. The first two pics are fina's hair - I wore that for 6-7 weeks and only took it down because of slippage. Put it in with shrinkies - my hair is extremely fine and oily. It was a bit fuzzy looking toward the end but I've kept the hair, trimmed it up and deep conditioned it, and I think I could easily re-tip and get a second install out of it. This hair was very pretty. It did tangle around the ends but a bit of product and styling kept that manageable and I got stopped a lot and complimented on this hair. My own hair here is just above my shoulders, closer to the jaw in the front.
The last picture is single drawn Rk - this is what I'm wearing right now. My hair has grown 1 1/2-2 inches all around to just past my shoulders. Put in with LG/wefts. No sandwiching as I plan to re-install before Halloween and wanted an easy take-down. It's only been a week, and this is after I've trimmed it several times; the longest layer had been to below the narrowest part of my waist (deep V cut ) but it's been though several trims. I took another couple inches off this morning after I posted and it's more manageable now. Still a bit scraggly at the ends though. The little pale foof sticking right out in the middle is just because of the breeze. This is just air dried and a bit of oil worked though it to show it's natural state. I can flat iron it and turn the ends and get something much smoother looking. For reference, in the first two pics I had probably either blown my hair out or curled it in places, but over-all it required very little styling compared to the RK. (for me) It felt totally soft and I could get my fingers all the way through it on the weft, so I don't know it there is anything to the trend that those of us who install RK with wefts vs. strand by stand have more problems.
Oh, and I tried the LG in the syringe thing and it rocks! At least until the rubber stopper in my plunger crapped out on my and it all stopped working. ( it was old old old.) But doing a couple wefts with the syringe and the rest with the brush, whoa nellie. Toss those bottles out, ladies. The syringe is the way to go, seriously.
