Boogiemama: yes, that helped big time!  Guess what, you did my heat seals in August!  I love them.  I gasped, 'noooo, I just discovered her!' when I read that you were moving out of state.  (I wish you the best w/ your move )

Kimberly:  Oh, thank you for that color ring info!  It really helped--You were right the first time--I do want warm brown tones.  I also was thinking that I need the Dinkel to sort of subtley carry my more cool toned brown hair to the tips for blending b/c I'd like to grow out my natural color but also add mostly warm tones w/ the synth.  But since Boogiemama said she uses Dinkel for a level 6ish neutral color that sounds good.  I was afraid it would have a greenish cast if it was too ash and it looked that way on the site/my monitor to me.  Your walnuss/haselnuss comparison helped, too.  I'll get walnuss.

I am going to mix it myself and use shrinkies.

Okay, I've been enlightened! No haselnuss or walnuss if you want cool
colors! Like boogiemama said, dinkel is cool, and I'd say blond is too.

aw crap, you said your roots are cool toned? sorry, mixed that up. Don't
know if the reds will go with cool? I need to look this cool/warm stuff up.

Ha!

I use Dinkel for a neutral levelish 6 brown a lot if that helps. Maybe not?

Hey there, lucky chick!

I've got a color ring, a completely necessary item, as you know, and I
found out the hard way by ordering off the computer screen ^_^

I'd say dunkel braun is a warm brown (it's got a touch of red, so I suppose
that means it's warm, versus cool with a touch of ash?) and it doesn't
clash at all with haselnuss. But while haselnuss is a shade or two lighter
than dunkel braun, it's much more red, like a darker auburn. Gorgeous
color, anyway.

Dinkel, walnuss, and blond? They don't clash with each other, imo, but I
don't know if they're considered warm or cool colors. They look good
together.

When I hold walnuss up with haselnuss, walnuss doesn't look red at all in
comparison, more light brown in color... just cuz haselness is a very
auburn red. But when I hold walnuss up to dinkel, walnuss looks more
reddish light brown.

So far, you're on the right track with colors, the ph combos you've
mentioned aren't going to make you look like a clown or anything. Are
you planning on loose, weft, or pretipps? Are you going to have Sara
blend them, or blend yourself, or just put in streaks? I think that might
be important.

ok, here is my concern.  If I mix cool and warm toned brown synth hair together, will they clash?  Or will it balance out like human hair would?  I am thinking too hard about this maybe.

ok, I need to step away from the computer before I go crazy

Ugh, when I look at the site I like haselnuss and dunkelbraun.   I need a color ring.  The Dinkel looks too ashy (for me) on the site.  I am rambling to myself here, hehe

ok, I have decided to go w/ Plastikhaar for my next install.  I don't have a color ring (yet) so I've been staring at the pics that Jenny posted of the color ring (THANK YOU!).

I have level 6 brown roots that are cool toned.  The rest of my hair is colored level 6 warm brown.  What I basically want is to match those 2 colors (b/c I don't want to color my roots anymore) plus mix in a teeny bit of highlights.

So, I was thinking, Dinkel, Walnuss and Blond.  Ack--I know you can't see my hair but if anybody has any different color ideas for level 6 cool/warm brown mix pls let me know--I'd totally appreciate it!  I don't have time to order a ring first b/c I'll need it unstalled in 4 weeks.

I'm going crazy staring at the color ring pics...ok, gonna go stare some more
