PPS: What do you think I should do about my old salon (who basically messed it up) - should I be asking for some if not all of my money back? Or should I just put it down to bad experience? ("Very Unlucky" is what my new stylist calls it!)

Hi everyone, I'm having to post this as a new topic as mu PC will not allow me to post a reply to the original thread.
Firstly, can I just say a massive thank you all of the members who have posted comments and advice, you are all amazing - and having all that advice and support was like having this fantastic family around looking after me! That is the beauty of this forum.
I have good news (I think??!!!) The new salon I visited with regard to my multcoloured bad colour correction. They carried out a strande test to see if it would possible to bleach out the remaining black and horrid red, and to the utter amazement of the colour technician, not only has it lifted to a lovely warm sandy blonde on the black hair, the hair - although dryer - is mega strong! Even on the lighter parts, where the hair was previously at the red stage, the hair is very tough. The stylist is baffled, he tried this on 3 different hair samples from different areas of my head, and he doesnt understand how my hair hasnt gone like cotton wool! He believes I may not even have to lose as much length as he first predicted. Admittedly, the colour may end up lighter than I had originally planned(very high maintenance on roots) but I suppose I could look at lowlighting once I restore a little condition.
Anyways - I'm in on Friday 21st October for the big fix - I PROMISE before, "during disaster" and after pics. I'm keeping a very open mind about the results!!
Many thanks again. By the way, in terms of cuts, I may have to choose something layered, do you think a slightly longer version of Jennifer Aniston's early "Racheal" cut would still be a good idea if I have to go for the big chop?
