If I could, I'd refit the next day but I usually do a total take down and then try and refit any spare time I have, I went two weeks before I had time to refit myself this time and it drove me crazy x

Oh, Kirsty, to answer your question,

I usually go 24 hours in between (armed w/ a clip on pony, of course).  Last time I went 5 days but it just wasn't good for me mentally, heh.

hehe, delin, I so understand.  I get all creeped out--like I look unhealthy or something!  And to think, up until my hair addiction started 2 years ago, I used to walk around in public that way!

About 5 minutes after they are out I start to see spiders on the walls and snakes writhing on the floor....I don't feel like me without my hair!  I've started working in sections...One side one day, the other the next, the top half of the back the next...and then the bottom.  Wow, after I see that in print, I'm wondering if I don't need some counseling.

it depends on how lazy Im feeling.  SOmetimes I'll install the next day after a good wash and scalp scrub, other times I'll wait a month and wear a wig in the meantime.

For myself and my clients, we do not want to go one minute longer than necessary without hair!

For my clients, I typically take out the old extensions, color their hair, and replace the extensions all in one day.  They do not want to leave the salon without hair!

My primary strand method that I do is the shrink links, and I have never seen damage with shrink links.  The only bad thing I have encountered is if the person lets their hair get matted at the root... but even then, I'm very patient at taking out tangling, so there's no damage.

how long do you leave between your installs?

do you install new extensions straight away? if so have you had any problems or noticed any damage?

or do you give yourself time in between for your hair to 'rest'? jsut curious...
