Ps scary as it sounds a green based brown hair dye is the best way to
tone out the red but it must be done carefully and I recommend
professional help :)

You can also mix baking soda in with your shampoo or use a clarifying
shampoo to get it to fade quicker. Nexus aloe rid works well (its made
to get the green out of your hair from swimming too much). If this
doent work seek professional help. My fav professional color remover it
by Goldwell its the least damaging. Color removers are gentle dye
solvents destroy your hair...what ever you do dont attempt to dye it
loghter..color over color goes darker. If you try to bleach it out it
will most likley turn orange...good luck :)

OK I dunno if yer a guy or woman but those Just for Men products their hair coloring contains "METALLIC SALTS" They gradually cover grey and they build up on the hair after each use and give the hair a hideous black shoe polish type color. NEVER! EVER!!! Use them they are junk. If yer a guy and ya want haircoloring just goto a salon and have it done with professional products.
Get yourself some color remover from Sally's to strip that Just for Men outta your hair. Most color removers allow for 2-3 applications to get the color completely out of your hair but don't go NUTS and use it 5 or 6 times as you could really dry out tha hair strand and cause some serious damage. I'd suggest deep conditioning your hair after you use the color remover and then deep condition each day for the first week then ever other day for the next week then scale it back to once a week and then re-evaluate your hairs condition after and you should have pretty healthy hair. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions on the Color Remover that you purchase.

Yeah on blonde hair, dark colors look VERY dramatic. That's natural. If
you can, post some pics so we can evaluate. I personally think using "just
for men" was the mistake. But, oh well. If there's one thing *not* to do,
it's wash your hair ten times a day! Instead, buy some Head and
Shoulders. It's a quick and non-damaging way to strip some color. Keep
us updated!

How the hell did you get black from a dark blond color? What brand were you using and were you coloring over some kind of pre-existing hair treatment? Also, if you bought your haircolor from a store - was it on the bargain shelf?
i also think she means.. like a dark color not black..
