i ....love.....heather. i have no hesitation recommending her. i washed my hair last night for the first time since the install and didn't have to do any special tricks/styling, etc for blending.
i kinda sprung this install on her lol and hastily ordered the bohyme...i hadn't used human before for pb's so i just sort of went on my own. i know heather uses the 50% mink a lot which she says for most people works great and is cheaper than most bohyme i think, or at least in the same range. i'm pretty sure she uses it herself. the 100% mink i think ends up being too fine/soft for most textures.
i looked through her client book this time and holy smokes - suburban soccer mom to alterna girl to everything in between.
i'm pretty sure i deleted my old photobucket pics but here are a couple. my hair was only slightly longer than in the before above. bless her heart. both were with the 50 mm plastikhaar.
install 1 with peekaboo undercolors:
install 2:
okay..have i gushed enough? love that girl. can't wait to see your pics!

WHAT AN AWESOME JOB - you sure gave her some work to do with that short short hair!! I can't BELIEVE what a blending job she did and the cut is gorgeous!! This is quite a different look from your last install if I recall correctly! (I'm gonna look through your previous posts)
Your raving about Heather has convinced me. . . I've been DIY'ing with fusion since about July and am splurging and going to Heather in Atlanta in 2 weeks!! She says she loves working with the His & Hers 50% Italian Mink (or something like that) so I'm going to use that. I need something with a little body and she says she prefers that to Bohyme. . .

i would say that's about right, rae - maybe a quarter inch ...specifically the rows around my hairline/crown...towards the bottom they are only slightly larger, maybe 2x that size?
thanks julzz - same to you! it's funny looking at the before i was like how the crap could i walk around looking like that? shudder. so far the bohyme is behaving very well also.

aww thanks sherrie - hmmm. resizing the large head isn't really working right now lol.
for me i can see how pb's can be bulky or detectable if you don't do them super small the way heather does, particularly higher up; i think that also helps with keeping the hair from looking piecey.

i just had a pinchbraid install done with bohyme silky straight done by Heather in Atlanta at Black Cherry Salon. I found Heather through the hairpolice website and this is my third install with her - the first two were synthetic (plastikhaar). i chopped off a bunch of my hair about a month ago, so heaven help her she had little to work with:
before (sorry pics are so dark):
after:
shann had asked earlier some questions about braid size, etc. because my hair was woefully short heather went pretty high with tiny little braids:
as this is the first time with human hair i can't really talk about slippage with the bohyme; what i can say is i did not lose 1 single braid with the synthetic on my previous 2 installs. i know a couple people had major slippage with synth and i really am not sure if it's a hair texture issue or a matter of the installer or something else. for me they work really well. typically in about 4 weeks the higher braids are harder to conceal - this time i'm likely going in for a tightening for these higher rows, then i'll just get everything tightened at 8 weeks (my hair grows really fast). these pinchbraids were done hairpolice style with string.
it took about 6 hours with blending the hair, doing the install, and some razoring. heather offered me breaks but took none herself..she's a little amazing worker bee. i really ordered colors randomly from the hairsisters site without a color ring....22" in three colors: 8, 14/24, and 10/16. heather hand blended these to match my own high and lowlights. i have roughly a quarter and a smidge of two of the wefts left out of 3 packs.
